Great Steam
This is a replacement for a high end steam iron that began leaking after 4 years of use. It is used for quilting and fabric craft projects. Tried a similar model to the high end steam iron, but it did not perform as advertised and was returned to Amazon. Criteria for the replacement was: stainless steel sole plate, 1500 watts, separate controls for steam and temperature, use tap water, steam vents on the entire sole plate, good reviews. (My previous high end iron had 400 mini- steam vents on the sole plate and had outstanding steam production). The steam vents on this iron are larger in size and are located along the entire outer edge of the sole plate. Happy with the amount of steam production on this iron. Controls are easy to use. Water level is easy to see so you don’t overfill. Instructions for setting and using iron are clear. Clear warning to follow instructions to prevent leaks and drips. Uses tap water but if you have hard water it recommends a mix of tap and distilled water. The retractable cord is a nice to have feature. Initially the cord did not fully retract after 4 attempts. Discovered you need to ensure the cord retracts along the width of the pulley and does not bunch up in one spot. If you do this correctly, the cord fully retracts. It also has a 3 year limited warranty. This was about 1/3 the cost of the high end steam iron I replaced. Excellent replacement

Great
Great iron and I love the retractable cord, but it only rewinds about 80% of the cord

Great Iron especially for the price
After over 20 years of use, my Rowenta started leaking. Not wanting to spend a lot of money, decided to give this $26 iron a try. It's great. Heats up almost immediately. Very easy to see & move the settings. Easy to fill the water, too. Was surprised it had a retractable cord, but it works just fine. Steam works great. I mostly iron cotton fabrics for quilting & I'm pleased with the results. The negatives I see are that it has to be unplugged to turn completely off. At 30 minutes of inactivity, it beeps & shuts down. However, the red light bar on the handle continues blinking unless you unplug it. I wish it just turned off, but maybe it's a safety feature? The iron is much bigger & heavier than my previous one. The sole plate is the same size, but it's a good 3" taller. And, it weighs just over 4 lbs. It felt heavy to me when I 1st used it, but not a problem now.

Don’t iron much- easy, fast heat, steam great, cord retracts excellent
I iron seldomly. Old iron was tripping most breakers and I have new electric so I was freaking out.Bought this for the retractable cord as I don’t iron much and to make sure it was the old iron, not my house. It worked great. Heats up fast. Steam was perfect. It didn’t cause any flutter of lights, let alone trip the breaker! Whew!Old iron is safely in the garbage.I tested this iron on suit pants and then put it on high for a pleated cotton bed skirt. Both were fast. I never read directions. It’s clear what the buttons are for and how to fill it from someone that never irons. I could tell just by the picture on box.My pic is a queen, pleated bed skirt. It was very wrinkled. Took 5min as pictured and stayed ironed as I got it under the mattress. The cord part is a game changer!!! It retracts up to a few inches first try. I pulled it back out an inch, hit the button again and it went all the way. I tested that 4 times. The cord was a deal breaker for me as I’ll mostly store it. I’m a professional organizer and retractable cords make me very happy!

Nice looking but has issues.
Pros1. Very sleek looking2. It’s black and grey, my favorite colorsCons1. Too heavy2. Cord doesn’t retract all the way in. That feature is not fully functional.3. Looks like it should produce more steam, but it’s weak in my opinion. I had a Shark iron and that thing was a beast when it came to producing steam.

Beware of retractable cord not working
Feature: Retractable Cord, it's been only 1 month & the cord doesn't work. I just missed the dead lone for return. I bearly use the iron and now I can't return it. And the steam goes out to fast. Light iron over all. No noise easy to use, tho once again now sure what happened with the cord. Quality is ok
