Claire Austin's Book of Perennials Paperback – 12 Feb. 2015

Whether used as a reference book to look up something specific, or just for a leisurely browse, this is a must-have for garden lovers! Loads of wonderful photographs combine with evocative descriptions and relevant information, as to growing conditions of each plant etc. Loved finding old favourites here and discovering new treasures, triggering ideas for my garden. I haven’t explored every nook and cranny of this book but it seems to me that the one thing not in evidence are roses (or a section on combining perennials with roses) and I missed them.

I have a new home and garden and needed help with perennials. It was absolutely perfect for my needs. Once I had ascertained soil and sun aspects as suggested by Claire, I listed the appropriate plants and carried it to and from the garden centres as a great reference guide.

Lovely book, very well illustrated. Could have done with slightly more comprehensive cultivation and propagation information, but very useful nonetheless.
