Great value for the money.
I run a medium sized landscaping business here in Florida. Having ice for our coolers every day is a must. My large Manitowac ice machine decided to take a dump, leaving us to purchase ice every day from a store. After a few days of spending $15 on ice, we had a decision to make.Instead of spending $3000 to buy another large commercial ice machine, we opted to buy this one. Here’s our Takeaway on it :It’s small. The footprint is small enough to fit in my messy garage and not take up any space. I spliced off the water line from my water softener and ran the drain line out my garage. I had a small piece of quarter inch PVC left over from a job, which I ran beside the collapsible drain line to make sure that the garage door does not crimp it when going down. Works like a charm. See picture This thing turns out a good amount of ice. Here is what we do with it. I ran it over the weekend and it made about 200 pounds of ice into days. Enough to fill a 65 quart yeti type root molded cooler, as well as having the been filled on the machine itself. I keep the Roto molded cooler near the ice machine, and when it fills up I just transfer the ice over to the cooler. The cooler holds the ice pretty well. I am running the machine on a setting of +3 minutes to make a thicker ice cube. Keep in mind that the storage compartment on the ice machine itself is not refrigerated, so the ice melts throughout the course of the day. When I get home from work I empty the machine into the cooler, and by the time I wake up in the morning the ice machine is full again. I just repeat this cycle throughout the course of the weekFor $500, this little machine is a workhorse. I did have a problem with it when it was delivered, but after calling the customer service number the problem was quickly resolved. The customer service agents do not speak very good English, but they were able to resolve my problem fairly painlessly For $500, this little machine is a workhorse. It will make enough ice to fill a large cooler in just about 24h. Well worth the $$$

LOTS OF ICE-fast!! Cold drinks for hot days!!
My husband bought me this for Mother’s Day. I live in AZ, and have 5 kids, so my refrigerator ice maker cannot keep up with keeping everybody having ice for drinks. I’m so thankful for this new ice maker! You can adjust the cubes to be a thicker, harder ice, or make ice super fast and not as thick. I’m still learning all the settings, so I play with them occasionally to see the difference. We installed this next to my dryer so that I could use the drain for my washing machine. It was super easy. We got a little pump to hook up to the already there, gravity fed drain hose. Worked out perfectly! One small thing. The water line coming into the bottom of the ice maker, was maybe clamped, or defective from the factory, it got a pinhole leak and the water was flowing. I found the issue after taking off the back panel, and just took out an inch of line, reconnected it, and it’s fine now. I’m happy for quick, masses of ice to make everyone have cold drinks!!

Working great! Soo much better than buying endless bags of ice!
I purchased this for a lake house where access to ice is always a problem. Our fridge does have an ice maker, but it runs way short when we have more than 4 people in the house. I am, at best, an average handyman that can not do any serious plumbing work. I was able to plug the water supply line into a spigot that is located at the foot of the dump sink in our garage. The plastic screw on adapter that came with the unit originally leaked. When I tightened it, the adapter cracked. I went to my local hardware store for some help and got the parts I needed and successfully installed the water supply line.. I have not been able to connect the water dump hose (from the melted ice) permanently to the pipes under the dump sink, so right now I have it draining into a bucket.Once I connected everything, running the unit is very simple. It does what it claims to do.... makes a lot of ice! I would give one piece of advise... The unit gives you the ability to take a little more time to create each load of ice, thus making the ice cubes bigger. In its' normal default setting, we found the ice melted too quickly. Making this adjustment addressed that issue.

Product not as described
This item was damaged when arrived, there were scratches and a big dent on the top, the unit leaked and was unable to stop the leakage, this is 60lb in weight, so the item is so expensive to ship back at my cost, as per policy, I am now most probably going to have to take it to the dump and put it down to a bad choice of purchase.
