Hiding that lipstick in style!
I freaking love this thing. I'm not a trend person, I go for function. And when my STB SIL got my fiancé a shiney new Stanley I decided it was time to replace my beat up Rtic with the mismatch lid and straw.I may not follow trends, but I didn't want my fiancé's cup to put mine to absolute shame!First off, can we all agree that the marshmallow is gorgeous? THIS cup is spectacular. Strange to say that about a water bottle, I know. But since I never jumped on that train, I didn't know what I had been missing out on. Let me tell you what! The most important things to me is taking care of my service dog. She keeps me safe so her care is paramount to me. This enables me to pour my water into her bowl on the fly, without having to open my bottle past what I would do to drink from it. Quick and easy. That right there was the selling point for me. But as it turns out, there was even more benefit than that.I don't chug my water but if I did, the chug hole does works fine. The straw portion is ready to sip from, and it doesn't stick up tall like other water bottle straws. It's JUST tall enough to get the job done. No worry of toppling over because the straw got knocked over by the cat. (Because that happens.)The "handle", which is generally the locking feature unless you're using it as a handle, is well placed and comfortable for my sized hands. Not to small and not clunky and large. STB SIL likes to talk about how great the Stanley handle is, which I don't really get. I like that this doesn't have a handle. I have one to carry it if I need it, and not if I don't.The seal is completely water tight. I occasionally put a drink mix in it and shake vigorously. No leaks whatsoever. In fact...It fits in a car cup holder upside down. That's how I transport it in the car. It doesn't fit butt down, so I put it top down. I've been known to do this with various bottles, so I tried it with this one and it fits ok. It's not ideal but it's better than nothing. Try it in yours! Since it's completely leak proof there's are no worries about spilling. (Just be careful when you remove it that it doesn't unlatch.)Another bonus of the covered straw is that germs don't get in the straw. Perfect because people in public often don't cover their sneezes. Ugh. And the coolest part? Lipstick messes are concealed with a flip of the lid! Easy peasy!I have noticed that the inside of the straw stains a little, which was disappointing. I don't like that I look at it and it looks dirty when it isn't. But I guess I shouldn't have used drink enhancers then. Also, my top color is very light. Other colors might not show that. Another thing that want fun was that when it fell, it dented! Oh no! So beware of that.It keeps my water super cold and I don't go anywhere without it. I love it so much that I'm thinking of getting another so I don't have to limit myself by style! Definitely worth the price since I use it constantly, every day. This one is so chill and Zen... The next one shall be colorful and crazy! One for every mood!I simply can't say enough about this darn water bottle... Does that mean I'm on trend now? Who knows! I just love my Owalla! I'm definitely a fan!

Perfect for Kids and Adults — My 12-Year-Old Loves Her Owala FreeSip!
I bought the Owala FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle (24 oz) for my 12-year-old daughter, and it has been a total win. She absolutely loves it, and I do too—for a lot of good reasons. If you’re looking for a high-quality water bottle that actually makes hydration easy and fun (yes, that’s possible), this is the one.Thoughtful Design & Amazing Sip OptionsThe feature that really makes this bottle stand out is the FreeSip lid. It has both a built-in straw and a wide-mouth opening, so you can drink two different ways. My daughter loves using the straw when she’s on the go, and when she’s really thirsty or refilling at home, she just tilts it back and chugs like a regular bottle. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference in how often she actually uses the bottle. She even mentioned it feels “cooler” to drink from than her old one.Perfect Size for School and SportsThe 24 oz size is ideal for a kid. It holds enough water to get through most of the school day or a sports practice without being bulky or too heavy. It fits easily into backpack pockets, cup holders, and even the side pouch of her dance bag. She’s taken it to school, dance class, and weekend outings, and it’s always the first thing she grabs when heading out the door.Keeps Water Cold All DayThis bottle really performs when it comes to insulation. It keeps water cold for hours—literally from morning until late afternoon, even on warm days. My daughter actually gets excited to take a sip and feel how cold the water still is. That’s a big improvement from some of the cheaper plastic bottles we’ve used in the past.Durable and Kid-ProofKids drop things. A lot. This bottle has held up incredibly well. The stainless steel body is sturdy and the powder-coated finish hasn’t chipped, even after being tossed into lockers and dropped a few times. It still looks nearly brand new. The lid closes securely and hasn’t leaked once, even when it’s rolling around in a backpack.Cute Colors That Kids LoveOwala really nailed it with their color choices. We got the “Shy Marshmallow” (pastel blue and peach), and it’s adorable without being too childish. The color combo is one of my daughter’s favorite things about the bottle—it feels stylish and fun, which means she actually wants to carry it around.Easy to CleanThe lid design might look complex at first, but it’s surprisingly easy to take apart and clean. We usually rinse it by hand, but the bottle is dishwasher safe on the top rack, which is a huge bonus. There’s no weird plastic smell or funky taste either, which has been an issue with some other bottles we’ve tried.⸻Pros:• Dual-function FreeSip lid (straw + wide-mouth) is super convenient• Excellent insulation keeps water cold for hours• Kid-friendly design that’s durable and fits in backpacks/cup holders• Leak-proof lid means no spills in school bags• Fun, stylish color combos kids actually like to use• Dishwasher safe and easy to clean• Comfortable size and weight for younger usersCons:• Lid handle is a bit small for adult hands (not an issue for kids)• Straw can take a little getting used to at first (minor learning curve)⸻Final ThoughtsThe Owala FreeSip Water Bottle is one of the best purchases I’ve made for my daughter. She drinks more water without reminders, loves showing it off to friends, and it’s held up to daily use like a champ. Whether it’s for school, sports, or weekend outings, this bottle goes everywhere with her. If you’re looking for something functional, fun, and built to last, this is absolutely worth it. I might even grab one for myself next!

A water bottle built to last!
I really love this water bottle. I've been hearing that owala is a fantastic brand. I ordered the most colorful one - the turquoise bottle with the orange, red and yellow top. I love how easy the top is to flip open with the push of a button, and it has the locking piece that also works as a handle. It's a comfortable width in my hand, but too big and heavy for my toddler. Most of all, I love the spout. The straw is built in, so you can drink by by sucking through the straw or you can tilt the bottle back and drink like a normal bottle, all with the same top and the same opening. Even more so, in comparison to all the other bottles I've purchased in the past, there's no resistance with the straw feature on this one. The water flows so effortlessly, where other bottles I feel like you have to put some power and effort into sucking to get the water out. That's the best way I can describe it. It makes drinking so much easier, and thus I find myself drinking more water, a win-win! I will be buying more, one for each of us in the household. It seems like it is built to last, so no more replacing water bottles. And it's easy to take apart and wash.
