If you have a fresh frag (like dior sport homme) which doesn't last a long time on your skin, then layer this with the fragrance for more longevity. It works, but this should be diluted in perfumer's alcohol , and then sprayed or layered with the fragrance you want to 'boost'. For me, this works excellent for this purpose, but know it does change the frag a bit and adds a woodsy smell ; but not too much . It's perfectly paired with some fragrances ; but not great with others so you have to experiment. I bought mine on ebay and would purchase this brand again.

Smells like old soap. Does not do what is the intension of mixing with oil based perfume

It doesn't smell like anything. I don't see what the hype about Iso E Super is.

I use this as a fragrance fixative in my fresh soapy clean scents to make the fragrance last longer post application. You can add it to denatured perfumers alcohol with your other essential oils and fragrance oils and polysorbate and distilled water. THIS IS A FIXATIVE AND NOT A COLOGNE OR PERFUME, you must add this with other fragrances or it will not do what it was meant to do. If you are looking for an Iso e Super fragrance I'd check out eccentric molecules 001, since that's a pre-made fragrance and not an ingredient to make your own.
