These give a good light in the display cabinets and a lot brighter than the previous 15W filament lamps (that also got rather too hot). These LEDs just get warm. I knocked off 2 stars though as ALL the bulbs flicker like mad on start-up. This flickering is very noticeable and the frequency about 5 times a second or less. That's from a 'cold' start. The flickering goes off in a few seconds and then the light appears constant and OK. If switching on from warm then the flickering carries on for a minute or two.I thought it might be the light fittings but having tried other LED lamps this doesn't happen so the flickering seems to be a function of these bulbs, not the fitting.

Brilliant little bulbs bought to replace 40w equivalent halogen. These use a fraction of the power of the halogen bulbs with 50% more light output. Extra wattage equivalent is ok because although the lamp maximum recommended bulb output is 40W these LEDs generate much less heat than the halogens they have replaced so its win-win all round.

Great set of bulbs for the price, have been able to lower wattage in house by 80%, has no strobing or flicker affect.

Happy with product.

Nice cheap bulbs but they don't last very long for LEDs, there must be better ones out there...
