Perfect for what I wanted.
I was looking for something to use as both a dash camera and bicycle cam, go-pros are out of the question because they literally can only handle about two hours of recording. This little device performs perfectly. The cable mounted camera is small and out of the way which is especially nice as a dash cam since it doesn't take up any windshield real-estate while the main body can be tucked out of the way.The tubular form factor for the camera piece on this model is ideal for this use case. Having a very small front and back profile.I have had no problems connecting to it and using it with my Android phone.Have tested it for about 5 hours of constant use in buffering mode while taking a few snapshots and test videos, after getting home it was sitting at about 60% battery so I imagine it will be fine for full day use.It features a very functional timestamp label option that can be customized. The included sticky mount is perfect for dash while the clip mount is perfect for helmet side mounting or belt mounting, it's literally just a matter of sliding it off one mount and onto another with no fuss.If you want a chest mounted camera you should look at their other option with the flat camera instead of this tubular shaped one.The audio is just fine, it's possible to make out voices and other sounds without issues though it has very little bass pick up.Hard to value it as this is the first time I've owned a product like this, but it fits the bill for everything I wanted it to do.I'm happy to have it and it seems pretty rugged so I imagine I'll have it for years to come.

I got this when it first released, upgrading from the Body52. The Body52 had stopped recording all together and I was searching for a replacement but couldn’t find anything similar to the style with having the camera being an auxiliary attachment from the actual recorder, then they released this so I immediately purchased it.I found the benefits of this style to be great, especially if you run an external carrier. I mounted the recorder on the side of my carrier and run the cable and camera through the internal gussets. You can be talking with a suspect and activate recording or take photos while interviewing without blatantly pressing the center record button on a traditional style body cam, which can discourage a consensual encounter. It also frees up a lot of room on the front of your vest.Picture is very clear, sound quality is fantastic, I have prosecuted with both.Faults:If in standby mode, battery does not last a full shift, unfortunately. Also, if you accidentally leave it on and connect to your computer via the proprietary usb cable, it will freeze and you have to reset it with a paper clip via the reset button. I could not get it to work with my app when I first got it, tried for months, the 52 worked great. Tech support wanted me to try connecting with no other wifi sources around (a field in the middle of nowhere I suppose?) I gave up and just download footage via my work laptop which saves space on my phone anyway. All in all for the value this is a great body camera, would I recommend this for police agencies to issue to their officers? No, but for an individual officer this is a very good option.

Not good for law enforcement
Battery lasts about 5 1/2 hours mostly in stand by mode. THIS DOES NOT OPERATE WITHOUT YOUR SMARTPHONE. There’s no easy on/easy off feature. It disconnects from your phone and doesn’t reconnect easily. If you leave your phone In the police car while you are on a call or stop, you loose connection and your camera doesn’t work. Having had a Transcend camera before I was supper excited to “upgrade” this thing is a piece of junk don’t waste your time or money

Okay for basic security work, battery life needs improvement.
I work as an HOA courtesy patrol. I'm required to wear a body camera in order to record negative interactions with residents, ranging from common area trespasses, tows and repossessions, or noise complaints. The ones supplied by my company were trash. I was using a Boblov J21, but the audio was muffled and awful. It couldn't detect anything besides my voice. Not helpful for Domestic Disturbances and noise complaints. Actually, it couldn't even pickup voices that were directly in front of me, often. So I bought this camera with the negative review from above anyways.I like the belt mount with the light weight camera on my chest. It's stable and doesn't shake when I walk. That helps reduce a lot of extra noise. The audio quality is perfect. Every part of every conversation is heard and so is background and environmental noise. The camera and image quality is also spot on. Although, I reduced my quality to 720p/30fps in hopes to save my battery. And that is this camera's only weak point.I had my settings for a 30 second buffer at 1080 at the start of shift. But my battery was depleting faster than hoped. So I lowered it to 720. That helped, but it still only made it to 7:45 of my 8 hour shift. I'm hoping once I get more settings adjusted from the PC toolbox, it will last all 8 hours with some power to spare. I'm sure constantly connecting to see the battery level didn't help any as that was what depleted the battery from 11% to 5% near instantaneously. We will see next shift. If you need a 10+ hour camera, get the Body 30. I will next time.Update. I updated the firmware. I can't get the battery to last more than. 6 hours without dropping below 25% battery. Would not recommend for a single shift in buffering mode. You would need two per a 8 or 10 hour shift.

Very hard to operate and turn on, also having a hard time getting it to connect to wifi and phone.
