I’ve had the machine for 3 months now, and I have grown very fond of it.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I’ve had the machine for 3 months now, and I have grown very fond of it.When I purchased the machine in early February (2018), I was initially disappointed but it has since won me over. I was seeking an upgrade from my less fancy Mr. Coffee 1-stream 4-cup (BVMC-ECM260-RB I think). I very much liked my original Mr. Coffee 1-stream but I was looking for a machine that had an open-tank removable reservoir that refilled more easily.Overall, this machine is hands down an upgrade; I do have a few issues with the product description though...Name:Mr. Coffee Café 20-Ounce Steam Automatic Espresso and Cappuccino Machine, Silver/Black• Maybe I misunderstand what automatic means when in reference to espresso machines, but I thought it would shut off after it pulled the shot. It does not, you will have to watch the machine and shut off the flow of water.• I don’t know what they mean by this claim. Nothing is in the portion of 20oz- except for the glass decanter, which is not included. The filter baskets are for one (1 oz) and two (2 oz) shots of espresso respectively. These filter amounts are not marked accordingly, but one is taller/larger than the other. The water reservoir is a quart (32oz).Description:Easy-pour 20 oz. glass decanter features a stay-cool handle and drip-free spout, and serves up to 4 shots---o Glass decanter was not part of this package and the 4 shots refer to the decanter size15-bar pressure pump system allows for optimum flavor extraction----o Very nice pressure makes creamy frothy espresso.Steam espresso machine brews up to 20 oz. of espresso---o Maybe 20oz is how much you can brew without giving the machine a rest? Not sure on this one.Easy to use Milk Frother for creamy cappuccinos and lattes---o Froths and heats milk very well; user will need to practice to get it right.Removable, washable drip catcher keeps brew space tidy----o Convenient for cleaningIncludes measuring scoop for a perfect cup of coffee---o Scoop doubles as tamper. I prefer my metal one over this plastic one, but it works fine. I really appreciate the fact they include one with this pack. If you don’t have one yet, this one works well to get you started brewing.Start-upI think it took longer the first few times, but is very quick now. The blue light on the front fades in and out while heating. Then the light stops flashing, you’re ready to go!Brewing Super fast! The water reservoir makes this process so fast and easy.Frothing Very nice.I truly appreciate the included accessories. The metal feather cup they give you is great.Cleaning Pretty easy. The removable base is a plus. The filter and basket clean easily as well.

Brews great worth the price.
I LOVE LOVE this espresso machine. I have to buy at least 15 bars of pressure.I am experienced at making espresso so it was fairly self explanatory. When twisting the carafe to the machine it is a bit tough however you want it to be tight because that's what makes a good brew.It came with the steaming pitcher and shot cup. This was very nice because I used a particular glass and cup to keep my latteconsistent. This machine produced the best crema I have ever produced and I used to be a barista. When making multiple coffees it is best to brew ALL the shots before the milk. The espresso brewer overheats once you steam your milk. It's an easy fix however it takes more time to make multiple espresso. The price was great and I will definitely buy another if needed.

Disappointing
EDIT 1 YEAR LATER: so after the machine worked reasonably well last year for one party, I cleaned it and placed in storage. A year later, I remove from storage and attempt to use again, and the frothing wand won't engage at all and the coffee maker pulls about half a shot before it sputters and dies. The machine was thoroughly cleaned before being stored in a temperature controlled environment. I knew from the beginning it felt cheap. But i thought it would be good for more than one use. I know this model is probably no longer made but I think this is enough to turn me off mr. Coffee products fir awhile.Previous review:For what it is, this is a decent little machine at this price point. I'm rating it based on comparable models in the same price range. Obviously this wouldn't stand up against an $800 machine. It's incredibly easy to use right out of the box and pretty much anyone should be able to pull a decent shot with it. The time between shots (or being able to use the steamer) is pretty quick. The steaming wand seems a little slow in terms of how long it takes to get the job done, but it's not ridiculous. I don't know if it's an issue with the unit I have or if it's known with this model, but sometimes while waiting for the light to stop blinking between shots it gets "stuck" and I turn the power off and back on and it's immediately ready to go. That's why I give it a 4 instead of 5. In terms of materials and quality, it's cheap plastic and it feels cheap and plastic. I wouldn't expect a super long life from this. I owned the previous model by the same manufacturer and got about 2 years out of it. I have upgraded to a higher end model for home now. I had this one shipped to a place I was traveling to as I was going to be entertaining and needed something cheap and easy to use and that I could just leave there when done. It did the job just fine. Just don't expect long life at this price point. Also, comes with a nice little frothing pitcher and espresso cup... not always the case with these low end models.

Steamer cant be used right after you make coffee
Its junk. You cant use the milk steamer and make coffee right after. I have to make coffee, then unplug the machine and wait until it cools down (about half an hour) and then I can turn it back on to use the other feature. I hate this thing and will never waste $100 on one again.

I got it on sale for $70 and it makes damn near perfect coffee house quality coffee
I am very impressed with this machine. I got it on sale for $70 and it makes damn near perfect coffee house quality coffee. It comes with lots of accessories which is also one of the reasons I got this. Just be sure to manually stop the espresso when your shot or two comes out bc it doesn't stop by itself and I didn't realize this and I over filled the cup the first time I used it lmao. Other than that, I love it and I use it every day.

Works great! Worth it for the money for sure!
Great for the price. My father has a very expensive espresso machine and I have to say there is no difference in quality of taste. I've read reviews about the milk frother does not foam well or foam "tight", that is complete bs, it foams just fine. Only a coffee snob idiot would give bad reviews for this product because they expected it to be of Breville quality but don't want to spend 400 dollars. The only difference is this machine looks cheap and a breville looks fancy
