Easy install, product seems very well made, works as expected, i would buy it again. The only point i would improve on would be the length of the rope supplied. Another 4 feet would have been better for my install. I have a 12 foot board and it is in a garage with a 12 foot ceiling. When you drop the slings to the floor to load the board, The rope is out of your reach. I fixed this by putting a loop of rope on it so i could reach it. With a lower ceiling, the setup would have been perfect.I can live with this and as i said, i would buy it again.

Using for my 11' paddleboard. I was tired of always hsving to have a 2nd person help get my paddleboard down from the wall sling i had been using. This pulley system was easy to install and use. Will be buying a 2nd one.

This product is exactly what was promised. It does the job well. I am sure there are simpler and easier ones to use out there, but this works great for the price. Instructions were easy to follow, especially with the online video as another source. I would recommend it to others.

I purchased 2 of these in 2019 and installed in my shop. It has not been exposed to UV or high humidity as I live in a high desert climate.My 4 year old walked under it and grabbed the end of the strap that wraps around the board. The strap broke and paddle boards fell on top of her, sending her to the ER with a suspected broken elbow. (Could have been so much worse)Upon investigation, I found the straps had become brittle and I was able to tear them in half by hand.The total weight being carried by the hoist was 61.5 lbs. Product specs state they can hold 150 lbs.This product does not last and will get someone hurt. I would strongly discourage purchasing this system.

It was kind a hard to put up the directions are not very good and I received a black one when I thought that I was getting the green or turquoise colored one as shown in the video and I did not I thought I picked that color I could be wrong other than that it’s not so bad thank you Joyce

Overall it does what it should and seems to hold tight.*Tip to note: When installing make sure the square holes on the ceiling mounting brackets are facing the same direction - this will save you time and work.My only 2 problems were the rope and lowering the boards.The rope could have been better quality. My rope was frayed out of the box.If using with a SUP, like we are, I think it is difficult to lower the boards because of the brake system. The brake system is on the pulley side where you raise and lower the boards. The brake works automatically and does keep the board lifted and from slipping without tying off the rope however to release the brake you need to pull the rope in a downward direction. My boards are wider and this is hard to do unless up on a ladder which allows you to pull downward and lower the board - otherwise pulling the rope to the side standing on the floor and lowering will lock the brake as you release.

This is such a great product and does exactly what it says. We are using the pro model and store 2 SUP’s on one hoist. One is 11-6 the other is 10-6. The hoist installed easily and adequately holds both boards. It was very easy to install and use.

This is well made, easy to assemble and mount, and works well. The square hole to pass the loops through is a more sturdy solution to the regular hook variety, but in my case, it makes it a little harder to use because you can't simply unhook the loop holding the kayak. Instead you have to thread the loop through the square hole - a little annoying but not too bad. The square hole solution would definitely be a plus where the kayak might get swayed around and a loop might slip off a hook / there is no way this can happen with the square hole provided by this hoist. There is a strap that can stop the two loops from separating but I guess it's only needed on short kayaks (mine is 5.5m so there is no chance of a loop slipping off one of the ends). All in all, a very good product.

Great product and does the trick. Instructions could have been better but the manufacturers website has some good videos that walk you through installation

This is the second hoist we have installed, the first was at my daughters house. The first installation was fine except we had to replace the rope first time we used it it frayed. The rope this time from this purchase seems better quality and so far no issues. There is a learning curve when lowering one rope at a time but a little practice no problem. we had to block the ceiling in garage to have solid fixture lined up with vehicle, just be sure you have solid beams to screw to. Yes highly recommend.

While the hoist works well it is obvious that the straps are cheaply made. Both of the straps securing my kayak snapped and causedit to fall on my car causing a good amount of damage.I now have no kayak storage and an expensive repair bill. Look for a better solution elsewhere
