Tree Tribe Stainless Steel Water Bottle - Insulated, Indestructible, Eco Friendly

Let me get the tiny negative out of the way {but dealt with again later}: I do think it's pricey. There are other stainless steel bottles of this size for $10.00 less, the only difference being the cap--'theirs' is plastic. So for about $10.00 you get a thin layer of stainless steel covering the cap so no plastic touches your liquid. Obviously that's important to me though because I purchased three of them. So now onto the positive. I use mine as thermoses for work, all three of them full of hot teas. That was why I wanted a ss covered cap---my beverages are hot. They keep my teas hot all day long just about making the 8 hours... they work great. Another huge bonus for me is that they have wide mouths, so I can put in, and get out, my tea ball without any gymnastics or contortions. I learned that Tree Tribe plants 10 trees for every bottle sold--thereby making what I think is a pricey item now even more well worth the money. I love that Tree Tribe walks the talk and I'm more than happy that my purchase money is going toward populating the country with trees. I do believe I'll be buying yet another one. 40 trees, I love it!

I plan to live forever, and... so far, so good :) So the fact this has a lifetime warranty will come in handy, perhaps taking it on a trip with my future grandkids to the hopefully huge forest where you planted all those trees back in the day.I decided to give this one a try as this is a plastic free bottle made of Food Grade 18/8 Stainless Steel and lead free that should be durable in normal use, although this 18/8 stainless steel in general I've found with a few others can potentially dent in rough use. The color black (picture) shows less fingerprints then the stainless steel I have from another brand but might scratch over time. The cap has an airtight Silicon lid gasket (seal) in a wide ring surrounding the stainless steel center that goes into the container (2nd photo), and in this case the ring is removable. This would be good to replace without needing to replace the entire bottle, and it certainly doesnt leak when turned upside down. I chose the 20oz as this size holds an entire 16.9oz 365 spring water bottle for testing and some extra.It didnt 'sweat' and lasted somewhere around 12-16 hours keeping the water cold since its insulated and was happy with its performance. It worked with ice cubes we have from an auto maker and also worked just refrigerating the unit to chill the water. This will help cut down on plastic use not adding to the 5.25 trillion pieces already floating in the ocean, and since the bottle is not entirely plastic will have far less leaching of plastic chemicals into the water as well especially with damage or heat (and even 'BPA free' plastics in studies have been shown also to be endocrine disruptors). The only drawback is this design the silicone ring doesnt stay exactly at the top as when its inside the rim of the top in some other models, and this possibly may lead to damage of the ring over time since its being pushed more rather then just resting on the lid slightly. Maybe you can plant some Truffula Trees for The Lorax as well.

I can't believe I didn't post a review of this yet! I take this everywhere. It keeps water really, really cold, which is a pleasant surprise in hot Southern summers. Customer service at this company is extraordinary, personal, and committed. I'm never using another water bottle again. Sorry, Nalgene, but I just can't justify the plastic use any more.It doesn't leak. It doesn't dent. I have a way of dropping things (I have a health condition that causes dizziness) but it hasn't messed up my bottle. It still looks attractive and brand new.In case you're wondering, the bamboo top doesn't mold (that's a problem with a competitor's water bottle with a similar look). The bottle doesn't absorb flavor, which is important if you are not the type to wash your bottle the instant you get home.I like it so much I've been keeping it on my nightstand and using it during the day at home.Also - don't be convinced by other companies with copycat products. Treetribe is the one with the lifetime guarantee, excellent customer service, safety testing, etc.

The stainless steel is good quality but the plastic ring that supposed to keep lid tight is very loose. It fell off within a month. It leaks now as the lid doesn't close properly and the bottle is pretty useless in terms of travel and carrying around. Its only good if you need to use it at one place. Its definitely not worth the price

this is a heavy weight tough bottle. wide mouth so you can add actual ice cubes. keeps cold .. or HOT all day. added ice cubes, in Arizona, and 8 hours later i still have cold water. works for hot coffee also. this is also a great bottle around the gym ... i have had other SS bottles and after a few months they look beat, dented up. and no other that i have used has stayed cold for more than maybe 4 hours ... .... the only problem is the cap has just begun to leak around the gasket.... otherwise i would have given 5 stars/***OK THEY REPLACED THE TOP VERY QUICKLY AND IT WORKS GREAT NOW>>> STILL A REALLY GOOD BOTTLE ... it has acquired a a few dings and dents and i think one of the dents has caused a problem with the insulation ... up until August it was keeping cold for over 24 - 36 hours, since a drop it only stays cold maybe 12 hours, i know if i have ice water over nite it is melted and room temp 12 hours later ..... still the bottle i use for the gym though

The best thermos bottle I ever had. Very ergonomic, great quality, does keep the heat for a long time, doesn't leak. I adore it! Worth every penny. I also love the design and the loop ring that could be used to hang it on carabiner or just to put on fingers when hands are busy with other things. I also like that it has a wide mouth and that for every bottle purchased, 10 trees are being planted.

Container is sturdy and lightweight and keeps liquids cold or hot for a long time. Can a bit noisy when opening it or placing it on counters is the only bad thing I can say about it. The company is pretty great in general.

I'm so happy with my tree tribe bottle! It works great, it looks good and all my mates have been asking where it's from :)It's light weight and I love the little handle on the top , plus I love supporting small business who are environmentally friendly , thank you!

My cold drinks stay cold.It doesn't leak.Don't put your drink in the flask and then put it in the fridge expecting it to cool. That's about it. Haven't tried hot drinks yet. But it works really well for cold and doesn't condense up.

I love this product, initially I just wanted a water bottle for gym but I now use it at every opportunity.Only thing I would note is that it's larger than expected, which in my opinion isn't an issue, but useful information if you plan to carry it around in a bag. Having a handle is a bonus if you do need to carry it around with you.
