I am not tech savvy. But even I was able to install this extender and link it to my WiFi/internet connection with superb results! I have 4 acres in a very rural area of Vermont, USA with primative internet access. My cell phone doesn’t work without internet support. I couldn’t call in emergencies. I had dead zones all over my property, particularly at my barn. We had heavy snow this winter and I fell in a meter of soft snow and couldn’t get up or make a call! This product eliminated the dead zones and provided safety. Attached to the gable of my house it provides coverage for the entire property and for some of my neighbors. I can stream tv on this product. Couldn’t be happier or feel safer.

Worked great outdoor for me. I connected to Starlink at my property in the Texas Hill Country, I wanted to get wifi to my front gate and a close by hunting area. My gate is 119 yards from my house, clear line of sight, worked great, strong signal. I ran another camera to a water trough to monitor the level at 153 yards, many trees in between and it worked, but was at its limit between trees. Net, Net, nice product, seems heavy duty, been running for 3 weeks without issue.

It was easy to set up. Helped boost the WiFi strength to my house. Have had no problem when it rains or the wind is blowing strongly. Great speed for sending out messages or other stuff.

completed my installation with the amazon purchased product and i must admit it performs as advertised. i placed it on the apex of my roof line and directed the coverage into area of approx 4 acers of pasture where i had slim to zero data coverage thru spectrum. the signal had to pass thru a fairly thick 100 section of trees and shrubs however i was still able to receive a minimum of 5-4 bars (data equivalent) reception. the overall distance from the antenna to my apple se cell phone was approximately 3-400 feet. also, the "plug/play was a easy step by step even for a 80 year ole" on his birthday today.

Ok I feel bad. I originally gave this Wi-Fi extender 3 stars because I had this spot picked out where I was planning to mount it. When it arrived it was surprisingly larger than I anticipated and wouldn’t fit in the spot. Customer service contacted me within 24 hours and was kind enough to offer me a full refund. I have since come to understand that the size is actually a plus. It’s very well constructed. It’s built to be out in the weather. The antennas are very long but this is also a good thing because they provide excellent coverage. My Wi-Fi works almost a block away from my house. Thank you to customer service for offering me a refund. I don’t need it. I am happy with this purchase. I have since designed and 3dprinted a mount(replaces metal H mount) so I can mount securely and easily to cedar lap siding on the exterior of my house (see pictures).

A person of average computer skills will have great difficulty hooking this up. There is no legitimate customer support. For 3 days I worked on this and tried for hours on end to make a connection with customer support. Automated voice saying you were second in que. You get this message twice then they disconnect. I have Starlink Internet and I could never get it to connect. I couldn't get updated firmware because I couldn't set it up. Advanced computer skills MIGHT get further with this but I personally think that the lack of customer support makes it uselessAfter a request from the company to try this product again, and with their guided help through Amazon messaging and personal help through one of THEIR support staff's FB connection, I was able to connect the repeater and it is working great. I have tested it through a power failure and it reconnected with no issues and the extended signal seems strong and consistent.

I purchased two of these units. One for the house and the other for my man-cave. I configured the home unit with no problem, but the second one was a bit of a challenge. I tried all different modes and none of them worked. I sent support an email Sunday afternoon, and they answered it 10:30 PM my time. I believe they are in China. The tech asked me some questions on my setup and IP addresses, and I answered them on Monday morning. Monday evening he then told me that I needed one configure one router to AP Mode and the second one to Repeater Mode. After configuring and setting the password on the second router to match the first router, everything worked like it was designed to.My hat goes out to the Wavlink Team for the excellent tech support.Thanks again! 😊

Researched extenders, needed one to go from house to shop which is 100 feet. Very easy instructions to assemble parts. I did have to call tech service to complete the set up with passwords etc. Very very helpful. Highly recommend the WavLink Extender.
