Thankfully I haven't used this yet but I did have to use the aresol kind and the wind blew some back at me. This being gel, I feel much more confident about using it and it efficacy in stopping the bad guy.

The spray works great, I briefly tested it in the backyard and it shoots far and straight, staying clumped together rather than becoming a mist that could blow back at you.I wish it had a quick-release instead of a twist-off though, it's a little awkward to twist the top half to get it off whatever you've clipped it to

But, let’s hope I never actually have to use it.The glass breaker is just a short twist on and off.Its hangs on my lanyard just fine.It’s easy to hold and switch to unlock and locked.It is gel but, be cautious as it might spray back in your face too.

The aqua green color is more like teal, just a warning that it doesn’t look the same as the picture, I got refunded and am gonna order a different color.

“Button” on top that you press to dispense pepper spray fell off, rendering the product useless.It’s basically like having a gun without a trigger.

You have to be so careful choosing self defense items in my state, it's true. Unfortunately, it's is so so easy to get this choice wrong. There are size, medium, and intensity limits for this item here. FORTUNATELY, this canister meets all the requirements to be safely carried here. I like that it has a locking mechanism to reduce the chance of being accidentally dispensed. I also *really* like that this is replaceable. Full disclosure: this stuff does have a short shelf life and needs to be replaced to maintain your coverage. When the time comes, you can just pop the bottom off and put a new canister in, good as new. I do feel better having this item on hand as things have changed a LOT in the last few years and I don't feel comfortable carrying just yet.
