This is the dock you want.
This is the dock you want. Excellent design, perfect color match, everything works flawlessly with multiple displays, built in ssd takes some of the stress of your internal ssd. The only downside is that it does tend to run hot, but so all other docks.I’m glad somebody took the time to design a proper dock for a range of MacBooks.

Perfect, amd excellent support! Except…
[edited 12/17/2023] The dock regularly drops external USB-C connections to my two drives. Also, I can’t eject the NVMe drive without rebooting, power off the dock, unplug the dock, then plug back into laptop then power on. Painfull![old review]I Love this dock. I’ve been waiting a long time to get a good dock for my MacBook Pro M1 and now I have it.I had a problem with one of my external USB-C drives repeatedly ejecting unexpectedly and found the power cable had come loose at the adapter I have. Tech support responded very quickly with the correct solution even though I had already figured it out.I added a 4T NVMe to it (which is essentially a housing plugged into a custom USB-C port inside the dock). I do tons of file transfers with image files and from my external USB-C SSD to the NVMe drive these were BLAZING fast. Very pleased.Cable Management is well done with rear ports, video is clear and stable with a 12ft HDMI to my 42” monitor and I like the magnetic pad that holds the Mac firmly so if you need to slide it around a bit for viewing it’s ‘almost’ like it’s docked into a physical locking dock.Well done team, thank you!HIGHLY recommend this product.

Nothing like advertised !!
I held high hopes for this item, having meticulously researched a solution to complement my 13" MacBook Pro with its limited 256GB storage and sparse port selection. After pouring hours into finding the ultimate docking station to augment these areas, my discovery of this device was initially a delightful surprise. However, I regret to report that my experience hasn't lived up to the initial excitement. The device exhibits a penchant for unreliability, randomly powering off or disconnecting from the SSD without warning. The inconsistency extends to the ports, which are often completely non-responsive, thus undermining the overall functionality of the docking station. Its performance shows marginal improvement when plugged in, yet this arrangement negates any promise of portability. Instead, it feels as though it should be reclassified as a semi-functional, stationary docking station. My disappointment with this device is profound, as it fails to deliver on its promised capabilities and undermines the expectations set by my initial research. My recommendation for potential buyers would be to seek alternative solutions that offer more reliable performance and truly portable design.

I would love to see Thunderbolt 4
This device is so compact, works great, would be best if USBCs would support Display.I would love to see Thunderbolt 4 in newer versions.

This unit was great while it worked
This unit was great while it worked but a device is only is good as the support offered when there is an issue. I received directly from Invzi unfortunately not through Amazon and I will not make that mistake again. The hard drive insert in hub has stopped functioning and my computer locks up when trying to access the 2tb drive. When the drive is connected (in same dock) directly to the Hub USB C port it functions correctly. I have written twice, reached out on Facebook and tried to call the the phone number listed on support page which is a mobile phone and is out of order. Be careful buying as they claim "12-month warranty for trouble-free customer service from INVZI" but they are far from competent in customer service

The one that comes out on top
I've had this hub for a couple years. Shortly after getting my M1 MacBook Pro, I was trying to find a hub with an adequate number of ports, including two HDMI. The first hub was inexpensive, and it showed. Lots of problems. The next seemed to have a good build quality, but got alarmingly hot with steady use. And finally the INVZI came to the rescue. Very solid build quality. I got the 1TB SSD as well. It has cooling wells and does not get hot. I have both USBA and USBC hubs hanging off this one, for printers, scanners, DVD drives and so on.I am surprised at some of the negative reviews here which makes me wonder about inconsistent build quality. As I say, I have not had any issues, and I believe I am one of the early purchasers of this hub.

Awesome!
This is what I was looking for! The docking station is very well built, feels sturdy and works great with my M1 MacBook Pro 16". All of the ports work well but are somewhat cumbersome to get to without turning the entire laptop around. I already had an extra NVME SSD and the install was simple. I do like that it has a power button on it but the one thing I dislike (may not be a feature of this product and more my MacBook) is that once you put the laptop to sleep, all connected drives get disconnected and you get the dreaded error message stating you didn't unmount the drive correctly. So I have to remember to unmount each connected device and turn off the power every time I put the laptop to sleep (very annoying). I do think it is a bit overpriced but it does work.
