punches above its price point
The media could not be loaded. Koorui customer service has blown me away. I reached out and we had a very productive back and forth regarding the problems I had with the board. I was willing to eat the cost of the board because I've modified it and I can't really return it. I am ordering a second board to give this another go. I added a star because there is no substitute for good customer service and clearly they want me to be happy with the board. Bravo Koorui!I’ve been using the new board as my daily driver for the past week, and I have to say — I’m genuinely pleased. Approaching it from a “cheap board” perspective, it really does its job well. All keys work properly, and it passed VIA’s online tester without issue. It’s not a thocky or clicky board — in fact, it’s fairly quiet — but the switches are smooth and the overall feel is surprisingly solid. It’s become a keyboard I really enjoy using, mainly because it’s just simple and reliable. No drama, no fuss. One thing to note: the USB-C port is a tight fit. The included cable works fine, and my custom USB-C cable fit as well, but several of my other cables didn’t seat properly. Just something to be aware of if you’re planning to use your own cables. If you’re looking for a full-size keyboard with decent linear switches and a clean layout, it’s hard to beat this at the price point. My testing of the stock board is done for now, but I’ll be opening it up again soon to see how far I can push the sound and feel with mods.I've been using the board exclusively now for several weeks and I've grown quite fond of the board in stock form. It isn't spectacular but it's actually subtly almost sneaky good. It might not have the best sound, or tone, but it has capable switches and the typing experience is really quite nice overall. I dont think there is another board out there at this price point that holds a candle to this board.I've purchased a 3rd one of these now, I'm going to modify for a friend as a birthday gift. Some custom keycaps and some insulation to improve the sound, plus some switch foams. This board is super versatile, if you wanted to customize a keyboard, this is the most keyboard you can get that's this affordable.MODDING Update - I'm going to keep this short. This is not a gasket mount board. However, there are things you can do to improve the sound profile. I can only upload 1 video and so I uploaded the stock sound which is not bad, however, with some effort you can get a very nice and pleasing thocky sound. To start with, I disassembled and hand lubed the factory switches. They are pretty smooth from the factory but now they're like butter. I installed dynamat in the bottom of the case, this will kill any resonant rattle from the plastic shell. I added a layer of Kapton tape to the pcb, AND and layer of painters tape. On the PCB I installed poron switch pads. Then I reinstalled the switches and tested the PCB to make sure I didn't cause any failures, nope, the VIA online tester checks out, all good. After fully reassembling the keyboard I installed the cute Cat & Mouse theme keycaps for a friend. This is the 3rd Koorui board I've purchased and this one is going to be a birthday gift for a friend.Final thoughts, this board is a fantastic value at it's price point. Even if you don't modify the board, I've been using the stock keyboard as my daily driver now for 3 weeks and I can't find fault. Its the board I used in the sound video. I may even keep it as is for comparison. I have another one that I'm going to add new switches to, and replace my other set of custom caps on it, I just love that you can do nearly anything you want with this board and not break the bank. Plus, Koorui customer service was the big reason I went all-in and bought 3 of these and thinking about a 4th for another project. You can't go wrong.

Awesome Value
For $20 this feels just as good as the last $60 keyboard I had and has more features. I really like the volume knob being able to pause videos on the other monitor without having to leave my game. I got the brown keys and they feel really satisfying to type and game on and the sound is very pleasant. The only thing I can't speak on is the longevity but it feels solid enough and comes with a few extra switches of different types and the tool to replace them.

Incredible Value
Some things that really stood out to me -Pros:- 5 pin hotswap support (regular pin thickness OK, not just outemu thin pins)- Pre-lubed stabilizers (they used something akin to XHT-BDZ, seriously, it's thick, not translucent, works wonderfully)- Volume knob is textured, fits nicely, has stepped tactile feedback when adjusting- 3 quick function buttons for default music player, calculator, and 'search' (defaults to either your url bar when you're in a browser or search function on your desktop)- Has both Apple and PC Support (Insane at this price point!)- Detachable USB-C (HOWEVER! compatibility is limited, you need a very thin usb-c housing to clear the sides of the keyboard port. You are best left using the default cable that comes with the board).- You get 6 sample switches (2 clickies, 2 linears, and 2 tactiles. Good for replacement in case over time you have defective switches on your board).Cons- The PCB is North Facing, meaning some keycap sets may experience interference (I have not tested GMK or any of the more premium sets). I personally put on a set of Keyreative blanks over the original caps and did not experience any interference. You can easily rock the default set and it works just fine.Overall, seriously amazing value at a price of $15.29 for the brown switch variety during Black Friday 2024. Most boards upwards of $50 won't even have most of the features here and the typing feel is great. If you're new to keyboards and want to experience mechanical, this is a great starting point if you're looking for a full-size 104 key board. If you're an experienced custom keyboard person, this is an amazing beater board for work or backup board that you won't regret purchasing.
