    Like a Tank

I work Underground Utility Const. Mud, rain, snow. These are very tough boots and the taller heel helps take pressure off of the heel and contours more naturally with the foot if you have mid to high arches, also great for gaffs, ladders, logs..etc. They are extremely comfortable with lots of toe room, the Composite safety toe is concaved to allow more toe wiggle room and each year I buy 1-2 new boots and always try a new brand or style and these are definitely the top 3 in comfort. The boot is stiff enough to allow some spring reaction when walking but will not effect comfort so long as you buy correct size and width. I do prefer EE width but W still feels fine for me. The boot's sole feels great even when walking on gravel, you don't feel all the rocks but rather feels well distributed as if walking on flat surface. The higher heels seems to have no effect on ankle turning so long as they are laced up appropriately...something some people have a habit of not doing well. There is some foam insulation in the sides of the boot but not enough for warmth and I suspect these will be a bit too hot in the summer months, likely best for spring and fall.I knocked 1 star off because the boot is only waterproof up to where the tongue attachment ends which is about 3" from the top, so so only expect about 6-7" of the boot to be submersible. The boot laces for this type of boot should be Kevlar based but instead just regular laces that will wear fairly quick. I am skeptical about how long the insole will last and I don't feel it's actually better than any other good insole like some of Dr. Scholl's brands. The Anti-Fatique thing is just a marketing gimmick like every other insole and boot maker does. Despite the insole, the boot design itself with it's higher heel, steel shank and outsole makes it very comfortable. If you are extremely picky about boots like I am, you should not pass on these to try out.

    Lord Vader.... Riiiiise.

*by G***G on Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2018*

Lord Vader.... Riiiiise. That's how I felt when I first put these boots on. Vader rising off that operating table in Revenge of the Sith. They add a good 3 1/2 inches to my height, and yes, the first few steps I took in them, I was sort of lurching forward like Vader with a new pair of legs or Frankenstein's monster. All kidding aside, these boots are awesome. I'd never owned a pair of loggers before, but wanted something that gave me much better ankle support when working and clearing brush on steep hills. Did a lot of research, and decided on these Timberland Pros because I've had good luck with smaller 6" Timberland work boots in the past. I've already put in about 12 hours of work with these boots on, and these boots have exceeded my wildest expectations.Don't worry about the initial stiffness. There's really no "break in" period on these boots. Within 30 minutes of putting them on the first time, lacing them up, and walking around, they will be the most comfortable boots you've ever worn. The "lurching" feeling goes away very quickly. And you will love the height, ankle support, and traction these boots provide. The ONLY shortcoming is the laces that come with them are a bit too short. I bought a size 11M boot, and they came with 84 inch laces that are a few inches too short to tie up when laced all the way to the top eyelets. I just ordered a pair of kevlar 96 inch boot laces that will solve that problem.Other than the lace length, which is kind of minor in the big picture, I wholeheartedly recommend these boots.

    They grow on you.

*by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2019*

I am enjoying the boots but they are heavy as they continue to break in they're feeling more comfortable... the weight of them in a 8-12 hour day is strenuous but the quality is decent....i can post a definite in about 6 months. It has been about the time s tr sted aboveMAY 18,2020THESE BOOTS ARE GREAT....added a second set of soles (Dr Scholes gel) which I flip out apx. 3 months - they add weight to the boot but the comfort and maintenance of sweat managment is worth the calf growing.I have recently changed positions in the company to more hands on in the field and I have no complaints with these boots whatsoever.I may suggest for my next pair a throw in addition of laces, other than that... so far so good!July 22,2020 yeah a second set of laces and the double soles are absolutly great...they are well....well.....broken in and certainly look forward to my next set- they are great and as 10" still breaking in top side mainly due to different levels of lace up....the second set of soles inside (highly recomended). ***** absolute win.Timberland : throw in a second set of laces👌🏽21 months and the heel has a worn wobble but still sturdy and well in weathering. -last pic illustrated ... recut new tread and still available for more harsh jobs it's. Absolutely buy again.
