Don’t purchase 6 persons
Completely misleading from the picture for the “6” person tent! Picture shows the two room style! Yes I should have drilled down more however I feel this is very much misrepresentation of what your are purchasing. We have NO choice but to use it as we are leaving for our trip in 3 days!

Good buy for the money!
This is pretty nice tent. Left it up in rain storm. Everthing was nice and dry in morning. The fly is very water proof. Sheets off in heavy rain. I was able to set it up alone. However two people would be best. Also heard concerns about collapsing in wind. Correct! I set up the tent without staking the tent or using guy lines. Feared worse when I seen it folded over. However, tent is strong. No rips! If your not using the fly. I highly recommend leaving windows open to allow wind to pass through. . Was my own fault. Can't expect something that tall and wide to withstand winds without properly securing it. Would recommend tent. Just be sure to take proper measures to secure it.Pros: large, easy to set up. Included guy line is reflective. Lots of air flow. Open sky is awesome! Opposite side doors are nice. Water proof, strong.Cons: 30 lbs. Must stake out! Room dividers are sewn in. Fine if you don't have a child who wants to pull on them. Kinda hard to put fly on even with two people. It's tall! Ball it up, throw it over the top, start pulling. Lol

Great at this price point
This tent is BIG. Four people can sleep comfortably and stay away from the walls. The high sides provide privacy, but when you're lying there, the large screened top provides great views. Cross-ventilation is so-so (thanks to the privacy sides) but the open top helps breathability. The tent poles ARE larger than normal. I don’t know how much stronger they are, but they are a larger diameter and a thicker composite wall. With only two poles to assemble, setup was straight-forward, but since this tent is so tall, it was a little difficult to prop up. I didn’t bother trying to tie the knot at the top, and it didn’t seem to matter. The door flap others have talked about isn't a big deal. You will need two hands to zip the door shut: one to zip and one to guide the rain flap out of the zipper path. Getting snagged isn't the end of the world either, but if it were dark, I could see (no pun intended) how this would be frustrating.

as long as you're not using it in adverse weather conditions, its large spacious and easy enough to set up.

Wanted to like it
I really wanted this tent to work, but on our initial camping trip, one of the nylon pieces that the plastic elbows are tied to pulled out of the tent. Luckily we had a needle and thread and were able to temporarily fix, but it made me suspect of the entire QC on this tent. Also, in the "tub" portion of the base, you could see holes from the stitching at a few of the attachment points...I guess one could use seam sealer for the entire base around these points, but I am glad that I didn't have to test how waterproof the tent would be.If not for that, I would have give 4 stars as it was a great spacious design.

With any wind at all this tent fails miserably. ...
With any wind at all this tent fails miserably.. Hardware rings and straps that hold poles to the ground broke within 5 minutes and we followed the direction to the letter...CANNOT be used with any wind at all! Just a huge sail with wimpy hardware..Alps Mountaineering! What a joke...

Decent family tent at a good price
The fly is a bit of a challenge. I followed the directions but it always seems to be a bit crooked. Outside of this I'm happy with my purchase. The fly is factory taped on the seams and the tape is of a decent thickness. I added additional water proofing to both the fly and tent as I do with all of my tents. I haven't used it in the rain yet, but it held up well to a "hose test." Ventilation is moderate with the fly on but, as with most tents of this type, be prepared for some internal condensation depending on the climate. This is fine three season family tent.

Great Value!
My wife and I love to go camping. We're always looking for good deals on new gear and came across this tent. Even though we've only been camping a few years, we feel that we are familiar with most of the "big name" outdoor brands. I had never heard of Cedar Ridge before, but after some investigating, I found out that the tents are made by Alps Mountaineering, who I have heard of. I actually own an Alps Sleeping bag and love it. Knowing the quality gear Alps makes, I decided to take a chance on their Cedar Ridge gear too. We love how easy it is to set up this tent. We often head out to camp after work on Fridays and it can be pretty dark by the time we get to our camp site. We love that the tent goes up quick and without a lot of hassle, so we don't waste a bunch of time fighting our tent. It's the perfect size for the two of us. We haven't encountered any major rain storms, but the tent looks like it will hold up just fine. Glad we found such a nice tent in our price range!

Height is not what it is supposed to be.
I sent this as a gift and the person on the other side said it is roomy. Doesn't leak and sturdy. But the height was supposed to be 7'. My son is 6'2 and he couldn't stand in it. Other than that he likes the tent.

Huge tent for a small price
Huge tent for the price, quite sturdy as well. Easily fits a whole family with a lot of room to spare. Fairly easy to set up as well. It's quite bulky so it's not ideal for areas with high wind even though it can handle a lot.Might not fit in smaller camping spots, remember it's 10 x 14, and a bit more than 7 feet high!I like it very much!

Fly ripped after 5 years light use - company never replied about purchasing new fly
We had this 10 x 14 tent up every summer for a few weeks for the last 5 years. Only one set up per season. It was great and very spacious. But while taking down the tent this summer, the fly was ripped. It would be o, if we could buy another fly so we could keep using the tent. We contacted the company about purchasing a new fly, but they have never replied. A shame, because the tent is great, but useless without a new fly.
