To start, I apologize to the company for not leaving my review last year. I had some unexpected surgery that I had to deal with.I bought their original pruner from the company last April. There's a spring inside the handle that allows these cutters to work as stated. About 45 days after I bought them, that spring went missing and I have no idea what happened to it, as I didnt drop the cutters or anything like that and I dont abuse my tools.I like the tool (as well as the concept) and I needed to use them again. My mother bought me a similar pair from some company on QVC about 35 years ago. THAT pair is finally starting to show its age and break down. So I wanted another pair.Back to the story....So about 3 or 4 months after I saw that they broke, I contacted the company to explain what happened. All I wanted was that spring, and since it was well beyond the warranty, I expected to pay for it.Gerossi’s customer service was wonderful to speak with, and they offered to replace the (entire) pruners even though the Amazon 30-day warranty had expired.These Gerossi ratcheting pruners work just as well as the much more expensive pair of ratcheting pruners that I received a long time ago. These Gerossi pruners are very well built, and are every bit as comfortable and easy to use.After I received the replacement pair of pruners, I put them to work and they worked perfectly. Even with an arthritic right thumb, these ratchet pruning shears made cutting through 3/4” thick, dried-out branches painlessly easy.These pruners and the seller are both excellent. Over this last year or so, I've already recommend both to a friend and will do it again. And I won’t hesitate to make future purchases from this seller.

They work great in both mode’s. Perfect for my thicker pruning jobs with weak hands. Nice and sharp and ergonomic.

Immediately put punters to work. Trimmed back well established bougainvillea. Worked great! I don’t have great grip strength and the ratcheting action made up for my lack of grip strength. Smooth and easy action. Light weight.

Design:I really like ratchetting pruners. they can be used on thicker branches of bushes or trees if you can back it off , turn it to the other side of the cut and with the rachet locking in it resetting the ratchet on branch thickness. the Rachet helps the 70+ year old lady to do her yard work. Price works good and these are hard to find at hardware stores. Lockability:it can be closed and locked for traveling in car or pocket.

great pruners / very sharp and functions well / like them

This is the best pruning shears I've ever bought! They cut thru 1" pine like it was butter. I am a mature female with weak hands and these shears made quick work of a pruning job. Bery sharp and grest quality. Can go from single cut to rachet with a slide of a button. To get them to lock into a closed position is difficult. Highly recommend.

Great shears. Good value for the price. I really like the ratcheting feature, makes it easier on my arthritis. I did have the handle break after 4 months, contacted company, I requested a replacement, they shipped out a new one after 24-48 hrs. They stand behind their product.

My first pair of shears lasted me an entire season and a half of heavy duty trimming/pruning.I plane and simple wore them out. I really put them to the test. I resharpened and oiled them but the rivets had loosened and they lost their cutting efficiency. They still worked but not as well. They served me well for the high use for a year and a half.I purchased another identical pair because they fit my large hands and ease of cutting/pruning use.The ratcheting system can be switched off to a single sharp cut shear. A great feature to have two settings when ratcheting isn’t needed for smaller diameter cuts.A small family owned business with excellent customer service.
