Boy Meets World: One of the Greatest shows made
Boy Meets World (BMW) first aired in the early ninties, and it stayed on the air about 10 years. Boy Meets world first appealed to elementary school children and tweens, but as the show stayed on the air, the writers very wisely changed the characters to be age appropriate. Issues talked about in the first few seasons were honestly, friendship and loyalty. As the Cory, Shawn and Topanga grew up, so did there problems. In Middle School and Highschool issues with Cults, God, abuse and Death became very real. The dilemas in college were more intense yet. Focusing on issues like adoption, Co-ed living, Sex, Alcohol, marriage and true love. The creators kept the show fresh by shedding some early characters: Minkus, Mr. Turner and added "Fresh Meat" with Jack, Angela, and Rachel. Although, through it all, Mr. Feeny remains the wise Grandfatherly figure to Cory, Shawn and Topanga, and Mr. Matthews (Cory's Dad) is seen a Hardworking, Devoted Father to his wife and family and all of Cory's friends.I'm 22 years old now, and looking back, I'm glad I watched this show instead of others that were on TV at the time. This show grew up with it's viewers and rewarded it's fans with simple lessons to help them along their way."Class Dismissed"

WOOOOO!
Boy Meets World is a show that never gets old. I stand firm in my belief that this is one of the most underrated shows of all time. When I was a teeny bopper it cracked me up and as an adult it has not changed. This show makes me laugh so hard I'm on the floor half the time! Yes - I love it that much. :) Needless to say, a few years back when they released the first three seasons on DVD I was young and broke. When I finally did have the money to purchase the DVDs they had already been taken off the shelves and were no longer selling. I remember only four months ago going on EBAY trying to purchase copies and finding myself in complete shock that they were selling for hundreds of dollars. So when LionsGate finally picked the series up I whooped with joy! I hope this time around all fans of the show can make the DVD sales something to hold onto. But again...I'm also hoping that Lions Gate doesn't take the approach of - Bad DVD sales=No more releases. So I'm hoping for the release of the last three seasons...because I think we all need to be reminded of what awesome sitcom used to be!

At Last!
I didn't grow up watching BOY MEETS WORLD because it was never shown in Philippines. The first time I was able to watch an episode was at Disney Channel through cable. Since then, I'd watch a new episode everyday up until it was no longer being aired at Disney Channel. There and then I thought, I gotta have a DVD or VHS of this! But sadly, it wasn't available yet. Years later, I find it being released at last and I have to say that I'm more than elated that the production guys finally released it on DVD.Boy Meets World is simply about how a kid grows and faces everyday common challenges mostly with mistakes that he later on corrects, with or without his parent's guidance. It's a simple yet funny way of showing how growing up may not be a bed of roses to most, but it is quite an adventure. It's also about how important a family is, may it be seemingly dysfunctional or a picture of a perfect family. It is such a comic relief that it never ceased to make me laugh at the kids' wisecracks. It makes me wonder how smart alecky kids can be nowadays. Makes you think that these little critters can possibly eat you alive. Ha-ha!It was great seeing Ben Savage, the main actor portraying the lead role, grow up with this show and his strong connections with his relationships were enough to keep fans and viewers glued to their TV screens.BOY MEETS WORLD SEASON 1 DVD BOXED SET is where it all started. To fans, this is one heck of stuff you dare not overlook. To the curious onlookers, see for yourself. Believe me, it's worth every cent! Even more!

Bringing Back Memories
The first season of Boy Meets World brought back many childhood memories of watching TGIF on Friday nights. Near as I can tell, the new company in charge of the Boy Meets World franchise hasn't added anything new to the original three seasons that were released previously on DVD, this DVD set features all the season one episodes + a bonus episode from season four and select episodes have commentary from Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Will Friedle, Danielle Fischell, and executive producer Mark Jacobs, which can provide an interesting experience when recounting cast stories and funny little tidbits like the hooded wardrobe Corey and Shawn where saddled with in the first season. I wish they would've included William Daniels (Mr. Feeney) because he was such an major part of the show. Instead, we get the kinda out of place Matthew Lawrence who wouldn't be part of the show until years later. Boy Meets World Season One provided a much needed travel back in time when things were not as complicated and I could be just a kid.

Boy Meets Audience
This was one of my wife's favorites, back in the 90s, and so I knew she'd love it. Got it for a Christmas gift, along with the second season. I've watched this one with her and can honestly say, it's about as appealing as I recall. I'm a bit older than my wife, but I remember enjoying this when it was on Disney. I don't think I ever saw much of these earliest episodes, which were even more a family/kids show. I would probably prefer the latter ones, but I think it's great that there were sort of two different series here: one more for specifically the kids, with a good message, yet not too sacharine, and one for all the family (following seasons).
