Morphy Richards Round Slow Cooker - Silver

This may be a little premature as I've only used it about 4 times so far but... It's sooooo amazing!!!!! You HAVE to get one of these, and I don't mean a slow cooker in general, I mean this actual slow cooker and no other!!! I tried out the crockpot version with the digital display, thought it was gonna be a nice fancy alternative with the automatic keep warm after the timer was up etc etc... but my gosh was that thing an incinerator!!! (It wasn't a faulty one either 'cause I got a replacement and that burnt everything to a crisp too, the Low setting produced charred food stuck all round the innards!!! My favourite!!!) But this has been SUCH a delight! I can, with perfect confidence in my little-trooper-slow-cooker, go out all day and come home to perfectly cooked dinner! It's a proper slow cooker that can go for hours and somehow manages to not burn anything! I can't say enough good things about it at the minute! I'm so chuffed I went for this one, and what a great price too! It's magical :D You won't be disappointed!!!

This is a no-frills, economy slow cooker - but that said, it still does a really great job.So, no-frills means no timer, no auto function, no keep-warm, no light to show it is on or off and a lid that fits ok rather than snugly. It also means a dish that really needs to be hand washed and not stood in water. You can still put water into the pot to soak it, you just can't soak the whole pot in water as the base will absorb water because of the way it's made.One other thing that isn't good or bad is that it is round and we have found this to be a great advantage as it fits well on the side in the kitchen and also in a cupboard. It also fits bigger cuts of meat well. However, some others may prefer the more normal oval slow cookers but this hasn't been an issue for us and has ended up being an advantage in our view.We have had this for about a month now and used it quite a bit and every time it has produced a really great end result. The best results are had when you fry up the meat, potatoes, carrots, onions etc before cooking - but even without doing that we have enjoyed the meals. Our observation however is that a little extra time in preparation by frying the meat especially does tend to give slightly better looking and tasting results.Would I recommend this? Yes. It's very low cost but works very well. It is easy to use and the suggested meals we have tried from the booklet also work very well.One final note is that when buying a slow-cooker like this do remember that the 'pot' itself is a heavy item and not that easy to move around, so if you struggle with heavy things - think twice!However, if I were looking at it again after using this one a while I think having an 'on' light would be nice as well as a timer. And, having used other slow-cookers I would maybe also have liked an auto function ... but that said, we are really enjoying the meals!

Loving my new cooking friend not much need for my cooker now.....convenient and time saving I can leave it cooking whilst I enjoy the sun or am at work instead off being over heated or drained from work and chained to the cooker....love it so many things can be cooked with it breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert dishes just purchase a Hamlyn cook book excellent.

Loved this slow cooker! Great size, great look, cooks everything perfectly. And all at a fantastic price! Comes with clear instructions and even has a few tasty looking recipes included. Had it for a week and used it every day before I wrote my review. Would definitely recommend this slow cooker to anyone who asked!

Very happy with this slow cooker. It looks nice and it doesn't take up a lot of space. I love that I can lift the bowl out and bring it to the table, and it's so easy to cleanThough sometimes it does burn things to the outside of the pan even when on low so I find myself having to keep stiring it really than just leaving it to do it's thing, will maybe try it on warm to see if that is hot enough to cook things.

I am pleased with this product. The pot can be transferred straight to table for serving contents and looks good. I would have liked a light to show that it's switched on but for the price, it's extremely good value for money.

I have a smaller Morphy Richards slow cooker that I use for cooking, but I needed this larger one for drying my 3D printer filament. With an additional temperature controller device, this does the job admirably. I haven't had to modify it in any way, so I can still use it for cooking if all the family turn up!

Great slow cooker had it for at least 3-4 years now and still working. It will occasionally get bits stuck to the bottom if you're not carful but a great slow cooker for the price and can cook for at least 4+ people!
