Good quality NP-F970 replacement battery from Neewer as I have come to expect from this brand. Very well made and feels solid so will take the bumps and knocks batteries do when loose in your bag this will last a long time. I have been mostly using this on a number of different camera lights and I absolutely love it the button on the top which will display the battery level is a great idea yes you can see the level on the light or what ever you connect it to but when you just take it out of your bag or been on on your table for a bit you can just press the button without have to connect it to something to check. You can plug a USB-C cable directly to the battery to charge it which is another great feature no need to be carrying around the charger taking up extra space and weight in your bag and also means if you have a power bank you can use this to charge the battery which I have done a few times. Another great touch is the fact you can plug a USB-C or USB-A cable into the battery and use this as a power bank so if you get caught short when away from home you have this as an option. The above are all amazing added features but at the end of the day it all comes down to the battery life when connected to your devices after all this is the main reason for getting it and I am happy to say in my experience the battery life is just as good as the original Sony batteries which is exactly what you want. Overall I am extremely happy with the battery Neewer have produced yet another great product and I would definitely recommend it.

With many different manufacturers using Sony NP-F batteries to power everything from camera monitors, to lights, to sound equipment, it is already a useful battery to have in your kit bag, This version of the battery from Neewer takes the original battery design and makes it even more versatile. The USB-Type C socket means that the battery can not only be charged via a standard NP-F charger, but also from any USB charger, which is much more versatile and ubiquitous. It also means you can carry power banks with you and recharge the battery whilst out in the wilds, away from any power supply. Alternatively the USB Type-A socket allows you to charge any equipment you might have. So if you are on a shoot and your phone battery is getting low, you can use the battery to charge it up. The battery status indicators are also a handy addition, letting you know how much charge the battery has. In use the battery worked well, and as advertised. Whilst the material used for casing of the battery might not be quite as good as that used in Sony’s original, it is perfectly good enough. Nothing bad to say about this. Charges via usb, 56.16Wh capacity, doubles up as a usb powerbank - what's not to like? Price (£49), might seem a little steep for the capacity - for instance £40 gets you a 72 Wh powerbank from Anker. However, the higher capacity powerbanks don't conveniently slot straight into a suitable camera monitor or led panel etc. and in this context, the price is reasonable - especially as this does also function as powerbank too. Very much worth it for the convenience. Build quality is solid and it's well finished, charging is super convenient due to it charging from any suitable usb psu, and it has a charge status meter. In my opinion, for anyone who regularly uses a field monitor or led panel, it's a solid purchase. Very happy with mine.

This is compatible with lots of light sources, monitors etc. It provides a reliable battery life. The featured USB Type C charging interface makes it much easier to charge your camera battery. The quality of the product and battery life is quite good. Battery life seems better than the original Sony battery. This 7800mAh battery has both a USB port and a USB-C port built into the battery. You can charge it via the USB cable without needing a separate charger. Recommend it.

I have 4 of these now, labeled so I can go through them in order and use them all equally. They charge quickly through the USB-C interface and can provide power through the USB sockets (A or C) or NPF. I had some compatibility issues with some NPF chargers not charging them but it's not a problem as I prefer USB-C to charge them. I also stuck a bit of tape over the USB-C port to keep dust and water out as it strangely doesn't come with a cover unlike the USB-A side. Hence I've only given 4 stars not 5. It's good to have the indicators to show battery levels but some other batteries now have a digital read out of the exact percentage like the SmallRig version so that could be improved too. I've used these for a year now and they're still holding a decent charge. Good value for money when on sale (which is quite often) at about £40-44. Size is standard for this capacity.

Great quality, Npf 970 battery. At 7800mha it's a tiny amount short of the highest capacity 970 batteries out there however it does have several advantages which make it worth it for me : - you can use it as a power bank via the USB-C port - Charging via USB- in case you don't have enough chargers - lights to show remaining charge The pain with these batteries is the amount of time to charge but having USB-C is really a plus and this last so long it is yet to die on me on a video shoot

Works perfectly as a replacement battery pack for my Sony camcorder. The bonus is that is also works as a power bank for USB devices. I'm likely to rarely use that as I need all the battery life I can get with the camcorder but it's nice to have it. Recommended.

Nonostante la capacità dichiarata sia 7800mAh, dura molto di più di altre comprate poco tempo fa di altre marche, con capacità sulla carta di 8800mAh ma solo sulla carta. Dunque ottima durata e dato che è ha la porta usb C in/out, è possibile in caso di esaurimento della carica, collegare una fonte di alimentazione esterna senza spegnere il dispositivo. Pensate ad esempio un monitor come il Ninja V in fase di registrazione. Con questa batteria ed eventuale fonte aggiuntiva non si rischia di spegnere il monitor mentre registra.

How did I ever get by without a charge meter on these batteries before?? The USBC is a handy addition too, and they can charge quickly through high-powered USBC.

Als Akku für Foto-LED, die Hollyland Videofunkstrecke, Fieldmonitor sprich (fast) überall wo ein NP-F Anschluss vorhanden ist oder als USB-C Powerbank. Daher bestellte ich mir diesen Akku mit riesiger Kapazität. Erst war ich misstrauisch. Aber nun bin ich begeistert, der hält wirklich sehr lange. Und ein weiteres Highlight: der Akku kann direkt mit einem Mini-USB-C Kabel geladen werden und ich brauche kein spezielles Ladegerät mehr.
