Used it twice and blew apart into 5 pieces was like seriously… n I was only drilling 3/16th size holes! Not very durable now I see why ones at store 70$ lol

I have both a SDS and a SDS Max rotary hammer drill so own an abundance of bits. This device multiplies the flexibility.

A few years ago, I made the decision to purchase an SDS Max hammer drill to assist with drilling larger holes in concrete. Along with it, I acquired a 1-1/2” SDS Max masonry bit, which was quite an investment at over $100. However, I found that I didn’t always require the capability to drill large holes, and I was hesitant to incur additional costs by acquiring an SDS Plus hammer drill. This adapter proved to be an excellent solution to this challenge, allowing me to use more affordable SDS Plus bits for smaller projects while still benefiting from my SDS Max hammer drill. This adapter is constructed from 40Cr steel, which is known to be a reliable grade of steel. It is a low-alloy chromium steel recognized for its impressive mechanical properties, including strength, durability, and toughness. It is commonly utilized in high-strength applications, such as gears, axles, and crankshafts, making it well-suited for this adapter. I am pleased to report that the adapter has performed as promised. I ordered a variety of SDS Plus bits and have successfully drilled holes of 1/2”, 5/8”, and 3/4” without any difficulties. Based on my experience, I believe this product delivers on its promises, and I would encourage others who may be considering it to take a closer look. only issue is bits tend to slip out. but I'm able to get what I need done.

The bit release can be a bit sticky!

This adapter looks sturdy and I chose this one because it was all metal. However upon first use it immediately fell apart with two ball bearings falling out and the whole unit separating. I returned the broken/defective item to Amazon for a refund. I can’t recommend this. Maybe stick with bits made specifically for SDS max or buy an SDS Plus tool like I now have - that way you don’t need any adapter.

Jams every time I use it. No other bits jam and grease was used, it still jams every time.
