thorlos mens Dress Crew Sock

I was inadvertently watching what I thought was a documentary short about a boy whose feet were damaged by a lawn mower only to discover it was part of an infomercial about Thorlo socks. Given the fact that I had been experiencing some lingering pain on the balls and heels of my feet, I was lured into getting three pairs of the men's dress socks for work. The increase in comfort has been noticeable, and the padding has not caused the inconvenience I was fearing would occur in my shoes. My usual pressure points were dulled by the padding, and I'm not a reticent about taking longer strolls on the pavement. I think I'm ready to buy several more pair, so I can wear these anytime.

So, my wife worked for this Fortune 500 CEO for years. He had tons of these socks in original packaging for whatever reason. He gave a couple pair to her to pass along to me - how nice! Those socks lasted me years. VERY absorbent. Very comfortable. Stays up on your leg (especially the over the calf version). Great elasticity. So, years passed before I felt like I could justify purchasing any more because they really are expensive. I bought some less expensive but supposedly big brand socks along the way - they are horrible, every one. Back up socks - not for when I mean business. Reaching under table and pulling up my socks 20 times a day is for the birds! Honestly, this is the only brand I will buy now no matter what I have to sell to produce the cash. I chose to bite the bullet again and pay the extra 10 bucks or whatever it is for quality sake. Glad to do it.

I don't know if I would categorize this as a dress sock. The fit is perfect but i was expecting a sock with a little less roughness as the cotton may seem kind of 'frayed.' what i mean by frayed is that it isn't smooth and thin like normal dress socks but you could kind of pass it as a dress sock from far away? I'd describe it more of as a nice athletic sock. Honestly it fits perfectly and had a great amount of padding on the bottom.

I give Thorlos 5 stars every time and love them. Buy a Thorlo, you'll be happy generally. They make every other sock look flimsy. I buy nothing but Thorlos in fact. But there's a hidden trap in this sock. They call it a "crew" but it's almost a kneesock as far as I'm concerned. I am no midget at 5'9", but this sock is almost above the calf. Way too long. Sorry I bought it. I suppose it's my fault.

These are very comfortable socks. I have large calves and many socks cut circulation and leave large indentations on my legs. These socks do not do that, they fit firmly without leaving ugly indentations. Would recommend to big men. Pricing is much higher than other socks I have, but I guess you get what you pay for.Update 10/25/18For the price they are asking I would expect these socks to last longer without wearing through. I don't wear these every day (maybe once every couple of weeks) they have all wore holes through the heel area of the socks. I have some I got from Duluth Trading that I wear every day for work and those socks are still great even though they are much older than Thorlos. I would not recommend these socks for every day use.

The fabric was nice on these socks, but they fit me (size 12) a little tight. The fabric was also pretty thin, I didn't realize that when I ordered them, but the labeling read thin when I got them today. I guess I'll keep them, but be more careful in the future that I get larger than 15 x-large

I usually will comfortably wear just regular large socks 7-13. They were just barely too small so I figured I would go larger and buy these. I had a tougher time getting these over my heal than any other sock I have ever worn. It was also tight around the toes and cramped them together. I threw them away the second I got off work. I am hoping I got a bad pair because I don't like to bad mouth products or companies, but these were just crazy.

After a lot of searching and research, I purchased these socks to waltz in. I have some wonderful dance shoes but waltzing really takes it out of your feet if your shoes aren't PERFECT. These socks are not only very high quality but they are very comfortable. They don't slide down very much at all. The padding in the toe and heel blends flawlessly into the rest of the sock, which looks very nice over my dress shoes. If you just want to have really nice, quality dress socks you can really spend some time in, I would recommend spending the money on these.
