These rubber stops also are very light, so they won't hurt your ears or show up.They are very easy to clean too, just takes a bit of soapy water or spirit and feel very comfortable too. I think this is a balance issue caused by the weight of the earrings pulling on my ears. I've had plastic backs before but they go yellow and break after a few years. I don't know what will happen with the silicon but the medium EZbacks have solved my painful earlobes and I think they are a success.
