I tried to use this for about a month before realizing it didn't help at all. I reside in a desert with no humidity, and even with water and ice it doesnt help with the temperature at all. I wish I kept the packaging, now I'm stuck with an expensive fan. Would have returned it if I could have.Take my advice and avoid this one.

Quiet and energy efficient.

Machine doesn’t get cold enough, realistically, not worth the money (150) unless you have cheap ice. Need to constantly refreeze ice packs and get more ice for the system. Runs great as a big room temp fan, but you can get those much cheaper. Enjoy the sleep timer feature though.

I bought this based on several positive reviews. I really don’t understand why so many people liked this thing. The only thing it does is make the room more humid and does not cool it down. Do not waste your money.

I bought this for my room because I'm in a basement and don't have any way to have an AC window unit. I don't feel too much of a difference between the cooling feature (with the water and ice packs) verses the fan option. I tried to put the water tank in the refrigerator before use to increase the chances of cooling with the ice packs. I've even added ice. There was a slight difference and it did help to have very cold water first.It's a good fan and I was surprised to see the motion function.Overall it's an okay product and a nice humidifier and fan. Very quiet and easy to move.

Completely satisfied with this product! It’s not going to cool your whole house, but it will keep selected room cool and comfortable.My kitchen gets super hot while cooking and in the summer, we don’t even want to cook because it’s so hot. Just moved this bad boy in there and it did it’s job! Kitchen cool and we enjoyed our dinner.

full disclosure is that i’ve never used a swamp cooler before, so i can’t judge it against others like it. i can only go off of the claims in the product description. i debated whether this deserves 2 or 3 stars; i left it at 3 since i do use it very often.i’ll start with the positives:• it was pretty easy to set up. there was no installation, and the instructions were easy enough to understand (even though definitely not professionally translated to English)• it’s good as a personal cooling fan. i use it when i’m sleeping, and the water tank lasts through the night. it’s helping to keep me cool during these summer months.now, to the negatives:• you might notice some reviews that seem like they’re not even for this fan. i suspect this used to be a listing for another product (seemingly a light bulb of some kind) - i don’t know how sellers do that, but it’s something i’ve seen happen a lot on Amazon. i find that practice to be pretty scummy, since you’re essentially using a bunch of positive reviews for a completely different product• this fan is simply not powerful to cool down an entire room. it can definitely produce cool air, even on-par with some air conditioners, but it’ll never bring down the overall temperature. it’s only good if you’re sitting next to itif other swamp coolers are like this, i’d just buy a cheaper one.

The fan came with a a cardboard filter I guess meant to help the water mist, but after about five days I noticed the water in the tank getting murky and the fan was producing an awful smell. Realizing that it was probably wet, moldy cardboard smell, I took the filter out and threw it away without realizing that this filter was apparently integral to the cooling function since without it water just spurts everywhere and causes the entire unit to leak??? No where in the listing nor the manual does it mention that this filter is needed. No do not be scammed by this thing, it is complete trash.
