Very impressed with these lights
I had sworn off Wiz controlled lights. I purchased a dozen flood lights 3 years ago but had nothing but issues with them and thought that would be the last I ever purchased. Then after some research I heard that they had totally re-written the APP and solved many of the issues. I downloaded the app and sure enough most of the issues are gone. With this knowledge I decided to replace the bulbs (since a few were not responding) with these HALO units. HALO is well known and has been around for many years, and I wanted something that had lots of support. Since my housing was 6 inch, I had to go to the screw in connector, no problem, makes the job easier. One thing I learned from my last installation is name the lights so you know which one is which in case you have an issue later. So I used a grid naming convention and did ONE LIGHT AT A TIME! then added to the room. Each install went flawless, and I can control each bulb. So far I am very happy. The color selection is endless and the light is more than adequate. I like the new features of the WIZ 2 where you can tell it to go to the last color/light setting before turning off. Now I use this with my Leviton Wifi wall switch to control them remotely. While you can control it with the WIZ app, i prefer to turn on and off the lights under one app, since I have all the lights in the home under Leviton.Over the years I've learned that all of this has to be thought out in advance. The Wiz works ok, but I detest having to open an app to turn lights on and off, thats why I like Leviton because there is a physical switch on the wall. Yes I know you can use voice commands but I dont want that device, and it just makes things more complicated if you have a large home, and especially if you have visitors. Way too much tech overload. In summary, I am so pleased with these lights, Im going to replace a bunch of 4" LED lights that I recently added. As much as LED lights CLAIM to be nice light, they are NO REPLACEMENT for HALOGEN, do not have the same ambience, so going to an RGB light allows you to perfectly control the color. If I have issues with these in the future I'll update my review.

Really cool
This was a fairly painless replacement for exterior can lights that I installed a few years ago. Definitely worth the money if you want to be able to easily change the colors of your lights.

You'll like this, but the app has some minor shortcomings.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased two of the 6-inch version without the can for the soffits of my roof overhang to replace 4-inch Zigbee lights I had installed after they went offline. The included template made it easy to increase the size of the existing hole. They are attached to power without a light switch, but a feature in the app allows them to be set to return to the previous state after a power outage. I was briefly confused about whether I needed a 'Pro' account, but I created an one to be sure I could set up my lights. I was able to do setup in the app, but still use the account for control from my laptop. The newest iteration of the WiZ app on my tablet seems to do everything the pro account does on my laptop. Both provide many features for customization of lights and the app supports integration with Smartthings (and many other hubs) which allows it to be included in routines (automations) with other devices from other systems in our home. Unfortunately, the integration provides limited access of its advanced features (e.g., 'dynamic' lighting, which is one of its best, in my opinion). Additionally, while the app has preset dynamic scenes for Hallowe'en and Christmas, one for Independence Day is absent - there is no way that I can see to create a custom dynamic scene, either. Overall, the lights are solidly constructed by a leader in lighting and reasonably priced with a highly-functional app, so I vouch for them as a good buy.

These lights are amazing!
Great lights. I've changed all the canned lights in my house to Blue.

We love Wiz Halo lights
I went through quite a journey finding color changing lights that also had an app interface that was straightforward but you can also do a lot. I saw WIZ Halo products at Home Depot and decided to give them a shot... three months later... we have Wiz lights and products everywhere. Recommendation- get the remote as well- it's nice to have if your phone isn't around / you don't want to open the app or use an alexa or siri interface.Overall, the brightness, color schemes, wake up function, automation, ease to set up--at 1/4 the price of Hue bulbs. Someone also said that they are made in the same facility.I have also tried Govee lights but the Halo/Wiz App and light quality is superior at a similar price point.Halo has many options to suit all kinds of lighting needs and i'm seeing the brand more and more in DIY and home design groups as a top rated pick.

Nearly impossible
I bought 7 of these and Had them professionally installed by an electrician. That was the easy part. As for getting them to work using the app it was nearly impossible. First we could never get them to all work together using the primary Wiz app so we had to use the legacy version to get them to pair and connect. This took more than a dozen tries to get it to work. The above was aggravated by the fact that the company does not have any type of phone support. They only have chat or email support. These people are somewhere in another country and it is 20 to 30 minutes between responses. You can send a request for help, go have lunch and come back and finally get a response. For this kind of system it was made twice as difficult not being able to do phone support quickly. When I complained about this they said they don't offer phone support. DUH! I would definitely not recommend these lights until they upgrade and finalize their software to make it ready for prime time. If you like being frustrated with technology this is your product.
