Quite Surprised
I'm a guitarist and chose soprano sax a beginner second instrument. Wow! is all I got to say. I didn't know blowing the sax could be this easy. I thought I was doing alright with normal cane reed but these are even easier. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or something. I decided to buy Synthetic because I believe may have developed an allergy to cane reed. I don't know but I won't returning the normal cane for the foreseeable future. These are still cane but with a synthetic coating on the part the goes in you mouth. The tone as far as beginner knowledge, is so nice and clear. I was using the Rico normal cane 2.0 strength. They were excellent too but these, no wetting. Just put them on your mouthpiece and blow. With correct amburouture of course. Excellent. Work for me. Will be purchasing more from now on.

Durable with a bright sound
I have used these reeds in the past for my alto sax with good results. The sound is slightly brighter and perhaps harsher than conventional reeds but they make up for that with their durability. Probably lasting as twice as long as a conventional reed. Not so convinced regarding using them with a soprano sax as to my ears it makes the instrument a bit on the harsh and shrill side. Will continue to experiment with mouthpiece and reed combinations but am not 100% convinced that these reeds are the best for such a small and high pitched instrument .

Reeds not the same as picture
These reeds are old packaging not like the picture looks. The picture is the new packaging and the ones that arrived are old ones not sold at least for 5 years. I was expecting the new d’addario ones which are the ones on your picture. But was sent old ones
