Value for money, you can see the quality
A friend of mine suggested he rarely bought socks as he tends to spend money on them whilst I'm naturally thrifty and often go for the family packs of socks. After buying many pairs over many years where they usually rip around the toes or heel, or strangle my feet which do take some hammer as I do a lot of walking in the day, I decided that it was maybe time to pay more for quality.I looked around the web for recommendations as to what to buy and found the darn tough range highly recommended. Upon opening the package they looked thicker than the usual sock but they are a lovely fit, I'm touching on a size 11 so went for the larger size. I've worn and washed these now several times and they look as good as new. I've even had them on with leaky shoes and they have no signs of getting any holes in them. I will definitely build up a collection of these and will now recommend to all that it's definitely worth spending the extra, you'll only have to do it once! Congratulations Darn Tough for a great sock.

The best hiking socks I have ever worn!
I have a great pair of Meindl leather hiking boots and always wear thick merino wool socks with my boots. In springtime, I put away my hiking boots and wear Adidas Terrex Swift R2 GTX trail walking shoes. These are great shoes, waterproof and with plenty of grip. However, the one problem I noticed was a tendency to get blisters and for my feet to become really sore after walking 15-20 miles on longer hikes. Finally the penny dropped and I realised that my problem lay in using thin gym socks whilst wearing the Adidas trail shoes. I did some research and found that these were the highest rated socks.I have now worn them on three long hikes and am delighted with them. My feet felt so much more cushioned throughout the hike with no foot soreness or blisters afterwards. The merino wool does a great job of wicking away moisture, even when walking in 26-28 C heat. They are easy to wash afterwards. In short, I can see why they are so highly recommended and can add myself to the list of satisfied customers and have just ordered a second pair.

Darn tough socks!
Well made, study, warm and just the right amount of thickness. Also the lifetime guarantee is amazing. The only thing is that they’re slightly smaller than I expected so I’m glad I bought XL. I’m a size 10 men’s and they feel a little tight on my feet.
