UPDATE: I have changed my review from 3 stars to 5 stars. The manufacturer has contacted me through Amazon and I am satisfied with their response to the issue I've reported. The absence of the pinhole may exist for other purchasers as it seems to be a factory hiccup and I suggest contacting the company if this should happen.I needed a sturdy wig stand to care and style the wig I use in filming as an extra in independent films. Reading the reviews, I felt confident that this was the one. It is except for one thing and that's a huge issue for this woman.Upon installation, I noticed that the tripod center rod does not have a hole drilled to accept the extension rod pin. That means there is not solid connection between these two rods and when moving the stand, they come apart leaving you with two separate pieces. If the wig is anchored on the top rod, you're now juggling a heavy top rod and separate tripod stand bottom. Which is a challenge for this older woman. It is awkward to move the stand with one hand holding the tripod bottom rod and one holding the top rod keeping them connected. Drilling a hole for the rod pin will resolve this issue.The tripod base is sturdy, easy to assemble and accepted the wig head I'm using. The stand stayed sturdy even with combing out a 1900s hairstyle aftermath of tangles and mats. One huge plus is being able to adjust the height of the stand. I don't use the tool tray so it is not pictured. Thus far the stand has worked as advertised.

Bought this for hair school and it gets the job done if you're good at managing your anger. It'll hold in place but if you put too much pressure on the head it'll start to move around. The screws in the base don't always line up like they're supposed to which leads to them being stripped and damaged.

Works great and sturdy..I'm on the fence about the tray...it holds a few this like clips good don't really like it for the hot tools..

I’ve bought several stands in the past which in up not working properly after using a few times. This actually prevents and holds the mannequin head still…no swerving or unwanted movements. And it cost less than the ones I’ve bought from the beauty supply store. It WORKS for Me

I will say it does it’s job for the time being but I would recommend going with another brand. I had to replace this twice and the replacement broke as well. The stand itself is really skinny and flimsy.

The tool that holds the maneuvers the head is worthless. It's not sturdy no matter how much it's tightened. Useless
