These little strips are very versatile and, frankly, a stoke of genius for quilters. They are just thick enough so that your fabric butts up against them firmly and allows you to cut along the edge of your ruler with confidence that the fabric edge under the ruler is straight and the fabric is exactly the width you need. They can also be cut to size when, for example, you want to shape a particular angle rather than a straight edge. They stay in place and don't tend to be pushed out of position when you move the ruler or fabric around. I wish they were just a little firmer, however, when it comes to positioning them: if you're not careful when laying them on your ruler, they can warp slightly and give you a bit of an unwanted curve rather than a perfectly straight line. Sometimes it's frustrating, which is why I rate them 4 stars rather than 5. But once in place, these are great, and you'll find them extremely useful.

I am not impressed with this product. Your rulers must be clean and free of all residue, or the vinyl will simply fall off.One thin tape is not sufficient to act as a fabric stop. The material tends to bunch against vinyl tape, or worse, slip over it, defeating the entire purpose. I have tried other products from Qtools, this one needs more work.

I recently ordered these for myself and liked them so much I ordered another set for my mother. They are easy to position (and re-position) on the back of your cutting rulers. Then, place the ruler on the fabric with the fabric next to the cutting edge strip and cut. Very easy. Consistent width every time.

Works well for thin fabrics doubled, or single layer thick fabrics. Wish these were a little bit more stiff because they have a tendency to warp when trying to apply to ruler. I don't really use them anymore because they're cumbersome to apply. Would not buy them again.

As soon as I saw this product, I knew it was something I could absolutely use apply the control I need when cutting fabric. Place the guides where they are needed before cutting and and slippage of your ruler is a thing of the past! Ireally recommend this product for fabric cutting.

This is one of the best quilting tools I have ever purchased! My cutting is so much quicker and more accurate. I used to dread cutting strips and pieces but not anymore. I wish I would have discovered this years ago. Very simple yet very effective.

I like the way the edge catches the fabric. I bought some tape but it keeps peeling off of the templates. This continues to stick and has not peeled off. It is difficult to move, so place it where you want it only if you are doing a project. I highly recommend it for quilting!

I usually use the purple edges for my sewing machine, and realized I could use these on rulers too. However, I wanted to keep them separate and thought Orange would be a good color on my ruler. When I took the piece out of the package, I could not tell top from bottom. In other words, there was no sticky side. It sorta sticks to my ruler, but it is constantly falling off! Not sure why these are different or marketed as cutting edge vs. sewing edge. thought they would be same, just different color, but I will stick with the purple sewing edges from now on.
