It works!
I bought a car recently that had one of those rubbish carbon look stubby Aerials which gave a just as rubbish reception on the radio. Bought this little aerial and job done. Much better reception on the radio and I personally think it looks better, as it looks more 'factory' than the chavvy carbon ones.
