This bag is not marketed as a diaper bag, but it functions EXCELLENTLY as one. The interior pockets are plenty and there are two that are the perfect size for diapers and wipes. The larger pocket that would be for a laptop is where I keep a travel changing pad. There’s a pocket just the right size for my wallet, and a key ring connector for my car keys. There are also two water bottle size pockets perfect for baby bottles and water bottles. Not insulated - but I don’t need it to be. Also some smaller pockets for chapstick and hand sanitizer. It has just enough structure to be roomy but not so much that it is bulky. The straps are large and comfortable for carrying. Overall, it just looks way nicer than most diaper bags, but it still maintains function. I’m very happy about this bag.

Probably one of the best ones I've ever had. I was looking for a bigger bag for work and this one exceeded my expectations. When I first opened the box it looked beautiful the color was better then I even expected. Feels like great material for a bag, durable but nice. Not heavy at all doesn't feel like it will weigh you down even when you put more stuff in the bag. Onto the reason I chose this bag. It is a big bag I love the straps you can wear it like a purse or as a side bag. The pocket on the inside where you can put your water bottle or coffee mug is brilliant. The many pockets in the bag for all your needs. Small pocket medium sized pockets and larger pockets on the outside just amazing. This bag would be great for anyone but especially for work or even school. It has its on pocket for a laptop another plus. I love everything about this bag. It may seem like a lot of money for a bag but it is worth every penny. I will do an update in a few months but I have a feeling this bag will hold up.

I bought this bag for a work trip overseas. I have a lot of tote bags, some good and some not so good. What I did not have was a tote bag that was well suited for travel and work. And I really needed one that could do both. I was drawn to this bag because it is looked very large and I liked all of the pockets and internal compartments and it seemed big enough for my personal item on the airplane and nice enough for me to bring to the office. I also love a good vegan leather bag, which can be hard to do well in black. I think this bag looks nice in person. I LOVE this bag. It is huge. I know airlines have different rules but I fly Delta. And Alaska when I have to. Once on a plane the flight attendant suggested that it was too big to put under the seat, because I was rummaging through it and she wanted me to put it away, and she suggested that it needed to go in the overhead bin but it FITS. FULL. JAM PACKED. Just turn it on its side. You probably don't have to do that if you don't pack it so full but I do. I am an over-packer who has stopped trying to pack less because why would I stress myself out by leaving things behind when I can just get a bigger bag. This bag holds so much stuff. In this bag I can fit AND ZIP: My work laptop (13"), mouse and laptop charger, my iPad in a thick leather case, a large notebook, a small notebook, a book, my airport liquids bag (very full), my travel toiletry bag that is bigger than the liquid bag (comb, a mirror the size of my face and an inch thick, dry shampoo powder, hair clip, hair ties, hair pins, a round brush, deodorant, lint roller, etc.), my medium-sized purse (small wallet, sunglasses, a bag full of things like a nail file, ibuprofen, electrolyte packets, hygiene stuff, the keys for my suitcase), and other small purse things), my 22oz water bottle, a skein yarn, my bag of knitting needles (it is a very thin bag), both of my cell phones, both of my AirPods, a phone charger, one of those battery pack portable charger things, pens, and other small things in the little pockets like lip balm. And some snacks. Obviously all these things make the bag quite heavy but I am strong. And so is this bag. The material of the bag is nice and it holds up well. I did manage to break the zipper on my last trip but don't hold that against the bag because I actually break bag zippers a lot. I bet you can guess why. And don't worry, I fixed the zipper. Because I could. Because I had my knitting bag with me because it fits in this giant bag. I really like the little pocket on top where I can put my phone(s) and AirPods for easier access. I like that both sides have a water bottle sleeve, that is just super convenient. I've had this bag now for 5-6 months and I have taken it on 4 separate plane trips, 2 for work and 2 for not work, and multiple outings. I like this bag a lot. Highly recommend.

I bought the Simple Modern Vegan Leather Tote Bag in Brown (Medium) in December 2024 for $49, and it quickly became my go-to work bag. I was nervous to commit since so many similar totes miss the mark, but this one truly has everything I need—roomy interior, zip closure, padded laptop sleeve, durable straps, and plenty of organization. It’s polished enough for the office but casual enough for everyday use. Unfortunately, I’m knocking off one star because one of the stretchy interior drinkware pockets came undone just this week (July 2025), as shown in my photo. I haven’t been rough with it—it’s just normal work use—so I was disappointed to see the stitching give out after about 7 months. And now that it’s listed at $69, I expected better durability. That said, I still love the bag and would consider replacing it if this one wears out completely. It’s one of the few that really checks all the boxes for a functional and stylish work tote.

I purchased the Medium Harper Tote in brown vegan leather, and I LOVE everything about it. It looks and feels high quality and I feel is worth the price. I do wish I had purchased the Small size, but that's on me for not really thinking it through. The Medium is seriously HUGE. I've been searching for the perfect diaper bag for two years now, and now that I'm about to have two under two I needed something a little more roomy. I cloth diaper when I can, which takes up a little extra space than disposables, plus I like to bring my Kindle and a small crochet project with me to appointments, parks, etc., so this bag really has room for it all. It has plenty of room for me to bring my water bottle, my 9 year old's water, and my toddler's water on top of everything else AND the small would have STILL fit all this because I have so much extra room in the Medium. The exterior pockets are so convenient for dropping my phone into when my hands are full and the provided interior pockets keep everything organized and tidy. The key leash is great, the lined sunglasses pocket is convenient (although I use it for "mom" items like lipgloss and lotion), and the laptop sleeve is great for keeping my diapering stuff separate from everything else. Overall I'd say this is a 10/10 bag, especially when using as a diaper bag in disguise.

This bag arrived in like new condition, it is stylish, seems well made and incredibly useful. I love the straps and crossbody option to keep my hands free, i love the size and I love all of the deep pockets in and out. Its a great bag, truly! But, it literally stinks. The interior smells like somebody packed this bag with stinky raw fish inside. I am very sensitive to bad smells, I tried everything to get the stench out but nothing has worked. Its so sad because I had really high hopes of using this a my everyday gym/mom/diaper bag and I just can't get past the smell, im afraid anything I put in it is just going to end up smelling like nasty fish. Its such a shame. I really like the simple modern brand, and the design of this bag is brilliant, its just too bad it stinks.

I was looking for a bag that held it all- 40 oz simple modern water cup, 20oz coffee tumbler, my 15.5inch laptop, 3 notebooks, pen bag & had a string to attach my work badge or keys to. On top of that- I wanted something brown, something soft, something trendy & not so “purse-looking” or “boxy” since that’s all I could find anywhere. Originally I wanted a Calpak Haven Bag but that runs around $170 & I needed an alternative that had the same vibe- simple, modern- looking bag, no obvious branding, pockets large enough to carry my water & coffee, laptop sleeve, inner pockets for glasses & more.. I can’t even explain how happy I am with this bag. It is soft but durable, it’s PRETTY, it carries EVERYthing & still has space for more. Sits comfortable on the shoulder & the longer strap option makes it easy to take anywhere & be hands free if need-be. Don’t sleep on Simple Modern, they do it alllll. Also- I read that only the vegan leather options have inner laptop sleeves, I can attest to it now that my vegan leather brown bag has a laptop sleeve. My laptop doesn’t fit horizontally in the sleeve but I’m fine with the vertical fit, especially since the bag has a zipper & even placing my laptop vertically- the zipper easily closes.. so nice to know I’ll never have to worry about rain when walking from my car to my job. Everything about this bag is just 🙌🏽 LOVE IT, BUY IT, YOU WONT REGRET IT.
