Does it have to be flushed? could i instead empty it down the bath? pipe with root isn't connected to the toilet. also is it effective for a hopper?

The instructions are loo focused and as such the powder is emptied in the loo and then it needs washing down the drain to where the roots are. I would be worried about putting it in a plastic bath and think it would be hard to get it down the plug hole. Re hopper surely it would be easier to just cut or pull the roots out.

Can this be used to clear roots from cast iron pipe

I tried it but don’t think it worked. However it may have been a faulty batch as it did not foam in the pipe.
