This is the third or fourth time we’ve bought Bioré UV Aqua Rich moisturizer with SPF 50, and it’s become our go-to sunscreen. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and comfortable, and it is NOT OILY! and absorbs very quickly.I have sensory-sensitive kids who hate the feeling of anything sticky on their skin, and this is the only sunscreen that has worked for them. I’ve tried just about every sunscreen on the market, from budget brands to high-end options, because skin cancer runs in my family and sun protection is a big priority for us.This one really does the trick! no sticky residue, no white cast, and it’s gentle enough for daily use. It’s also a great makeup primer, but even without makeup, it feels light and fresh. Highly recommend for anyone who’s struggled to find a sunscreen that’s truly comfortable to wear.

This is my favorite daily moisturizer. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave that greasy or sticky residue that some sunscreens do. My skin feels hydrated all day, and I love knowing I’m getting sun protection at the same time.It also sits well under makeup, which is a huge plus. I have sensitive skin, and I haven’t experienced any breakouts or irritation, which is rare for me with SPF products.Overall, it’s become a staple in my morning routine. Great formula, effective sun protection, and it leaves my skin looking fresh and healthy.

I love this sunscreen. It is easy to apply and doesn’t leave residue. At first application it smells a little bit like alcohol and lemon, but after you are done applying it the smell goes away.

The formula being used for Bioré UV Aqua Rich’s North American debut is noticeably different than its Japanese counterpart, but it’s still a better sunscreen than the thick ones of the past.This sunscreen is a lot lighter than others and is definitely suitable for all day wear without having that heavy sunscreen feel on your face all day. It almost feels like a light moisturizer, completely different from other heavier face sunscreens.~~~For those who are not familiar, the Japanese version of Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence has a huge following online because it is a sunscreen that feels like a light and scentless moisturizer that immediately soaks into your skin leaving no grease or whitecast behind. You can wear it comfortably all day without noticing any grease or heavy sunscreen feel.This new American formula shares a brand name but they left out the “Watery Essence” branding and part of the formula. The American formula has its differences which makes it slightly inferior compared to the Japanese version, but superior when compared to other American sunscreens.This formula is a more traditional American sunscreen that’s white in color and leaves a greasy film on your hands after you apply. The American version also doesn’t soak in as quickly as its Japanese counterpart, but still faster than others. This formula starts to absorb quickly but takes around 15 minutes to continue sinking in when I tested it underneath my arm and on my face. This is definitely better than other face sunscreens that seem to sit on top of your skin all day only getting greasier as the day goes on. The sunscreen seems to at least soak in 90-95% of the way leaving behind a very slight slickness but you definitely won’t feel it sitting on your skin all day.As others have pointed out, this formula also has a noticeable scent of a faintly floral and citrus combination. The Japanese version really doesn’t have a noticeable scent even though they claim the scent is “white muguet.”It seems that this product had to be changed based on FDA sunscreen regulations. The box says that it’s “inspired” by the Japanese formula, but had to be changed because the active ingredient that makes the Japanese formula so great isn’t approved for use in the US. It’s great that Bioré could still make a product that gets around 75% of the way there, but releasing it under the “Bioré UV Aqua Rich” was slightly misleading to fans of the “UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence” formula.Hopefully one day in the future we’ll be able to buy the “Watery Essence” formula stateside, but until then this sunscreen is a close runner-up, especially if it is your first time trying one!

I wanted to see what all the buzz was about for this product and it did NOT disappoint. It's so creamy and smooth and it does NOT leave a white cast on your skin. It's so hydrating and feels so nourishing it seems to melt in your skin. I'm all for Korean skin care to include the mineral sunscreen, however this product... it's properly amazing. No sunburn whilst using retinol which is very important to me. What a pleasant product.

If I would have read the description more thoroughly, I’d have realized this is not the wonderful Japanese version of this product. It’s manufactured in Canada for the US market and contains the usual avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene blend that is irritating to eyes. It’s a thicker, oilier formula than the light watery essence of the original formula. It’s OK as a body sunscreen but I want something for my face that feels like nothing, doesn’t add any greasy shine, and won’t sting if it runs into my eyes. The Japanese formula meets all those requirements so I’ll be searching for that one elsewhere.

I love this stuff! Perfect subtle scent. Not overly floral or tropical. Very lightly scented. Not offensive to your nose. Not greasy. Feels like a moisturizer. Very pleasant to wear. Normally I hate sunscreen. Oh and zero burn, so it really works.

This Bioré UV Aqua Rich moisturizer has a beautiful lightweight texture that absorbs quickly and works really well under makeup. It provides high SPF protection with no white cast and does not clog my pores, which is a big plus for my sensitive skin.Unfortunately, the fragrance is overpowering and lingers long after application. If you are sensitive to scents, this might be a dealbreaker. It would easily be a 5 star product if it came in a fragrance free version. Still a solid choice for sun protection, but not something I can use every day because of the scent.
