I was looking for a Lamp for my confined work-space at the Kitchen-Table, capable of focusing light on my LapTop and the surrounding area, and since table-top space was a key concern, I reckoned that a floor -standing Lamp might work well.The "Slimline 3 Floor Lamp" proved to be an inspired choice. Adjusted to fit my needs, it stands at just the right height, with the horizontally-positioned 19 inch bulb (my LapTop screen is 15 inches), shining light (3 levels of Brightness) from 14 inches above the Table, which for me is "spot-on" !The Assembly Instructions are reasonably clear : threading the flex all the way through the Lamp's stem is a little tricky, and I personally found it helpful to use a small Tweezers for the final bit.Overall, I'm more than pleased with my purchase & would recommend this versatile, effective, reasonably - priced Lamp....

Maybe this is simply a problem that only exists for a couple of people - seems most people are putting the lamp on the sides of desks etc. But mine is positioned at the rear of my desk, so that I can swing it between my 2 workstations depending on whether I'm working or gaming. The downside is that the power button at the base of the lamp is now positioned in a rather difficult to reach area - I have to crane my arm over my work laptop to reach it. It would be better positioned at the end of the LED bulb segment, IMO.Other than that though, it's a great lamp. It's very bright - I can illuminate my workstations with the lamp pointed at the ceiling - and has 5 brightness settings so I can easily find one that's comfortable. It's flexible enough to shine anywhere I want, and feels solid - even the clamp. I would definitely recommend, though the cost is a bit high IMO. I had a pre-paid card as a gift which allowed me to get this for a small sum of my own money, I'm not sure if I would have purchased it at full price.

Easy to assemble and clip onto sewing machine table. Brilliant light and easy to adjust the various levels of light. Hope it lasts a long time given the price. I have not checked if spare light sections are available should one be needed

The light is very stylish, I use it reading having used a Alex reading lamp for a long time I found the colour temperature slightly bluer than the Alex lamp which is slightly more difficult to read with. I have a settee with quite a high back which limits the height that the lamp can be positioned. I have it on top of a large book to give me the extra height. The control of the lamp works well from the switch on the arm, and of course a remote control would have worked better. I imagine that for craft work or a nail studio it would be ideal, for reading I find it a comprise.

Kind of an expensive product, but (hopefully) you get what you pay for and I have always been impressed with the artist's lamps produced by the same company, also it's good in this day and age to be able to find a product that doesn't originate in the Politician's Republic of China (The West really has put all it's eggs in one basket there). The product appears sturdy and well made and assembly is an intuitive breeze (although there are ample instructions. Good, bright, white light which at the highest setting is similar to daylight. 2 year manufacturer's warranty as standard (but keep a copy of the model number and bar code found on the base of the carton).

Quite expensive but overall a good lamp. Really like this minimal look. Lightning is great and you can adjust it as you wish. It does give heat and lamp itself do get warm but not hot as I cannot touch. This is my only concern. Hopefully will last a long time!
