Works well, strong enough to stick the phone to a vertical metal surface!
After much frustration with the crappy "magsafe" cases for my Galaxy S21 Ultra, I found this product. I bought the Spigen Rugged Armor case and installed the ring on it. It looks like a slightly textured surface on the case but feels smooth and the ring seems to stick really well. After the initial application I applied pressure to each bit of the ring for 15 seconds to ensure the best connection. So far, it's holding well, and is strong enough for me to stick the phone to the fridge, if I'm using it for a recipe when cooking or something. One other case I bought didn't even have magnets, it was just a metal ring that wasn't securely attached. Another case was magnetic but not very strong, and it introduced some problems with my wide angle camera lens (boca). So to find this and have it work so well is really awesome. I just hope the adhesive lasts-it is 3m so it should be good.Value for money...I honestly think the MSRP is pretty ridiculous but at the sale price of $15 I feel it's a great value.

Strong magnets, easy to install, allows wireless charging
Have been using this product for over a year. Easy to install. Good build quality, strong magnets and allows wireless charging through these magnet without any issues. Compatible with any magsafe products. I have tried magsafe wallets, mag safe phone stands and even magsafe car mounts. Never had any issues.I installed it on the case since I did not want to attach it to phone.

Works with Pixel 9 Pro on Pixel Stand 1 & 2, but beware -- bad alignment!
MagSafe rings made out of metal do not seem to work with Pixel Stands because the wireless charging induces current going around the loop. This one is made out of magnets and do not have such issues. I have tested this on Pixel 9 Pro with both the 1st and 2nd gen Pixel Stands. However, the cutout on the applicator is way off. The correct setting to use, based on the internal location of the charging coil, is that line 4 of the applicator should be at the bottom edge of the phone. This placing is incompatible with the locations of the cutouts on the applicator. I recommend bending or severing the top part of the applicator so that you can go for the correct placement.

Great Product With Stong Magnets But Not Strong Enough
A Cautionary TaleI bought a cheap magnetic power bank, 10000mAh, from Amazon. Power was OK, but not Qi2; only the original Qi, about 7.5 Watts, not 15 Watts. However, the cheap power bank's alignment magnets are very weak.I got this Spigen Magnetic Ring Plate to help hold the cheap Magnetic Power Bank securely. It did not.I returned the cheap Magnetic Power Bank and left the Spigen glued in place. It does not interfere with my Apple or Anker Magnetic Power Banks.I might explore other MagSafe items like rings and wallets.Lesson Learned.

Good, but positioning instructions should be udpated
First, I love Spigen products. I've been using their cases exclusively for years. This ring works very well -- strong magnetic connection. The slight protrusion from the back of the case isn't noticeable when other accessories are attached, and it can be helpful for gripping a larger phone (Pixel 9 Pro XL), providing a little extra bump out. The instructions are clear, and the installation process is easy. Two issues I have:- the straight extension piece from the circle doesn't hold very well, the glue is not holding. The circle, no problem- the positioning in the instructions seems to not put it in the optimal place for charging. Battery packs heat up substantially when centering the ring, per the instructions, and do not charge quickly. The Spigen Cryomax 3 seems to not have this issue, though. But I ended up replacing the case entirely with a Spigen case with the ring built-in, and that case positions the ring about .25" lower, and I don't have the heat issues that I did with this ring.

Galaxy S22 Ultra
I was worried about alignment, but it was easy with the alignment tool. I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra. I have also confirmed that wireless charging works as intended with a magsafe external battery. Would recommend. It seems issues are limited to devices such as the Pixel, works great for Samsung.

Complete and utter scam
Despite what it says on the box, there is a very high chance that this item will not make your phone magsafe compatible. The installation template, if you can call it that, is a piece of plastic with the item stuck in the middle, a couple of unexplained cutouts, and a whole bunch of engraved lines with no instructions. The video they link you to for instructions just shows them slapping it on the back of a phone and having it work. It doesn't actually show how you align the adapter with your charging coils. Long story short, unless you have taken apart the model of phone that you are installing this on and no to the millimeter where your charging coils are, this will not work for you. It will not charge properly. It is incompatible with all magsafe power adapters. If it's not aligned down to the sub millimeter level, any charger will go into a loop where it'll charge for three or four seconds before Android shuts it down, and then it tries to charge again. No charging ever occurs, it just starts to ruin your battery because it's constantly trying to charge and failing.Don't buy this under the disillusion that it will make your Android phone work with MagSafe accessories. Yeah, it might allow you to use like a wallet or something like that but if you want to actually provide power, like the specification was built for, you're right out of luck here.

Good for daily use. Easy install, reliable, but not an extremely strong magnet.
I’ve had this for over 6 months now, and it’s been a work horse. The Installation was incredibly easy, and I simply stuck it on the outside of my phone case, which isn’t MagSafe-compatible. Since then, I’ve been able to use it with my MagSafe wallet and easily swap it onto my dashboard for convenient hands-free use. The magnet holds really well and allows me to easily take my wallet on and off without any issues. The only time it doesn’t hold as securely is when the phone is dropped—the wallet tends to separate easily. The magnet isn’t the strongest, but it’s more than enough to keep my wallet in place during normal use.Overall, it’s been a reliable and effective solution for MagSafe compatibility!
