Not realistic, the lighting kit is just about essential, doubling the price
The kit is available for 44.99 GBP directly from the Lego store. Be aware that the kit is only recommended for 18+, with good reason. I think most people will find this kit disappointing. Very little attempt has been made to make the parts look realistic. Their representation of a space rocket is hopeless for example. To make this kit near acceptable you need to add the lighting kit for another 44.99 GBP. I recommend reading the instructions for the lighting kit before buying it and before buying this plastic brick kit. I bought this plastic brick kit and the lighting kit made by Locolee for 89.98 GBP for both. You can see my detailed review of the lighting kit under Roboprof. The lighting kit is fiddly to assemble due to the incredibly tiny plugs and sockets. The 41 pages of instructions are a poor translation from Chinese, although the 200 photographs are clear. The text has some technical errors and confusing unnecessary information. I am an electronics engineer but it took me a while to work out what some of the instructions meant. With patience, great care and good logic you can probably work out the assembly method without electronics knowledge though. I took some trouble to write a lighting kit review which I hope will make its assembly much easier. The kit needs 3 AAA cells which are not provided. You are likely to want to stop using AAA cells and buy a mains charger for mobile phones etc. that has a USB socket outlet. You will probably also want to buy a USB extension lead.

Ja, schimpft mich "Fanboy", aber ich steh total auf Original LEGO! Auch wenn Sie nachgelassen haben und man auf "Schnäppchen" warten muss, LEGO ist und bleibt der standart an dem sich alle messen. Und das zurecht. Dieses Set beweist es mal wieder! Klasse Idee und super Umsetztung! Qualität der Steine und Farben ist top und der Aufbau hat richtig viel spaß gemacht. Jetzt sind Sie eine wunderschöne Deko im Büro, auf die ich ständig angesprochen werde. Daheim hat mich dieses Set zu einigen lustigen bis guten Eigenkreationen inspiriert! Klare Kaufempfehlung!
