you get what you pay for. the story was not engaging; the characters elicited absolutely no sympathy from me; I had to stop reading it it was making me so cross

i read the blurb thinking that the story had a good potential, so gave it a chance. As soon as i read the opening sentence i realised i had purchased a clanger. The writing is poor; the author fails to synchronize the actions to what the character is actually doing. The result is an exercise in tedius and boring storytelling. The only thing to take from this book is how not to write a story.This is a shame for the story offers the potential for an interesting tale. If the execution and editing could be thoroughly overhauled, then there is a chance the story could be salvaged.
