Works well if operated correctly
Works well once you figure out how to consistently get the ions to deploy.A successful deployment is accompanied by a barely audible sizzling sound while the trigger is being squeezed and while it is being released. Aside from pulling the trigger slowly & releasing it slowly, you have to make sure the trigger has been completely decompressed after each use. To reset the trigger completely, give the trigger a few taps on the back before you squeeze it again.

It does remove static build up
It’s hard to quantify the noise reduction with use, but it can’t be argued that it removes static

The darn thing actually works
I really honestly didn’t think this thing would work and so I’ve been avoiding it for a very long time. Then last week I picked up a brand new box set from a major label and the vinyl inside look like it had been in a snowstorm there was so much lint on the vinyl.I went over to YouTube, where I saw some guy doing a live review. He took a piece of two ply toilet paper, showed us how it was sticking to the vinyl due to electrostatic. He then use the Milty and I’ll be darned if that paper didn’t fall right off. With that I figured to take a gamble.I got delivery on this guy yesterday, but never really had a chance to try till today. Needless to say the first thing I pulled out was that same terrible looking piece of vinyl from last week. What could be a better test?I grabbed myself a little piece of two ply toilet paper, laid it on the vinyl and sure enough that paper sticks like it was scotch taped to the record.I pulled out my new Milty to give it a shot. I follow the directions by holding a 12 inches in front of me, giving it a very slow squeeze and even slower release. I zapped the side fully 4 times, one squeeze per quadrant.I then placed the paper back on the vinyl and enjoyed the sight of that paper fluttering its way to the ground.I am listening to that same piece of vinyl and the difference is like night and day.I did a bunch of research before buying the unit and noticed that people were having trouble with the unit and only getting a series of clicks and zero result. That trigger needs to be sloooowly pulled back and again super slow in returning the trigger to its position. If the unit is clicking, it’s because one is not using the unit slowly enough. Thanks Milty folks!

Cannot squeeze the trigger.
I must have gotten a bad one, because I cannot even squeeze the trigger. I have to use both hands and all my strength to move it even about 1cm.

The most important tool in my collection for reducing noise during playback
I was dubious about this product. But I kept seeing people talk about this product and how fantastic it is at removing static from a record's surface. When you think about it, it makes sense too. You are dragging a diamond through a PVC groove. Think of it like a static buildup and discharge when you touch someone. You get that audible *SNAP* as the electricity arcs from one subject to another. Now think about that on the surface of a record. A record that has a lot of static charge to it is going to transfer that charge into the needle. It's also going to make a sound. Then that sound is sent through a preamp, then an amplifier and then played through speakers. You are going to hear that, no doubt about it.So using this gun on a record prior to playing is going to remove that static. Then the only thing you need to worry about when it comes to snap crackle pops is dust in the groove, and that can be brushed out.An anti-static gun is even going to help you clean your records. The static is strong enough to not only attract dust into the grooves but the static will HOLD it there. So take the record out, shoot both sides of it a few times and then place it on the platter and give it a once-over with a brush and you're golden. Is it expensive? Yes it is. But it's the most important tool you'll have in your record cleaning arsenal, for the price.

It is better than nothing
This is old new stock. It is better than nothing, but nothing compared to the one produced by Zerostat.
