Compared to the proper item .. there is no difference except the price which is a third of Apples. Like the proper Apple one the weak spot is where the cable joins the unit, so it does not need much movement before it splits, why the companies do not stiffen and support this area I do not know. This is my second one due to the cable 'coming away'. But with care I have learned to 'handle with care'.

Failed to charge after thirty days. No option to return as a broken item. Rubbish piece of kit.

It went after a few weeks
If you buy this product, think of it as a temporary item. For me it went after a few weeks. Something seemed to be burning inside it as I wiped off some black stuff that had a slightly burnt smell (a bit of residue can be seen on the pics). I wasted £20.
