Is the battery for this the type that is compatible with other Makita tools such as their drills and impact drivers?

It's highly unfortunate that they don't have this in an LXT model. Makes no sense to buy it if it's not compatible with all my other Makita batteries. I'll have to make due with their 5-3/8ths LXT saw instead. Shame, because this one is perfect otherwise.

Will it work with 18v compact lithium-ion 2.0 ah battery bl1820?

Does this saw come with an led light showing the cut line? someone told me some do and some don’t.

The Makita SHO2R1 12V Max CXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Circular Saw Kit, 3-8", the one I have, DOES NOT have an led light showing the cut line.

Does the kit come with a rip guide?

No it does not but it handles so well I was able to make finish cuts up to 40" long free hand with no issue
