Heavy duty
(Item: Martha Stewart Erwin Apple Corer and Slicer W/Cover - Martha Blue)As a recent new homeowner, I’m purchasing things I’ve never bought in the past. I’ve used Apple slicers before. They’re lightweight with decent blades and get the job done. So, when ordering this one, I was expecting the same build quality thinking they’re all pretty much the same. But, wow, was I wrong. This thing is awesome. The slicer is robust, weighing in at about the same as my iPad Pro. The handles are beautifully finished in what feels like premium ceramic. And, the blades make short work of slicing through apples, pears, whatever. If confidence while slicing apples is even a thing, it delivers that. The listing pics just don’t covey the fantastic quality of this product. If I had to nitpick anything, I do wish it came in a variety of colors to choose from. Just to better match different decors. But overall, it’s absolutely not what I was expecting (in the best way)! This is an excellent product and an easy recommendation for consideration.

Hand wash only
You certainly can tell that this apple corer is heavy duty just by its weight. It was surprisingly heavy. The handles are high so you won't hit your hands onto the cutting board when you use this item, which I like. I do not like that it is hand wash only. With all those little areas and multiple sides, this is more of a pain to thoroughly clean than I was anticipating. I really wish I could just rinse it and throw it in the dishwasher.

One of the prettiest and effective apple corer/slicer that I have used
This is one of the nicest apple corers & slicers I have ever owned. In Martha's classic blue shade ~ like a robins egg blue with some teal tossed in ~ this is a heavy piece with nice wide handles to push down firmly on the apple. The blades are pretty sharp and this even has a cover over the bottom to protect the slicer (and your fingers) when not in use.The only complaint is that if you have a really large apple, this won't fit. This is good for most apple sizes except jumbo sized ones, so I took a star off of that. I am not going to ding this for being hand wash only as that is clearly stated in the description.

Robust and heavy!
This thing blows all other apple slicers out of the water! it feels very hefty and is sharper than you think it would be. The handles are solid metal, it may appear online like it is plastic but don't be fooled! It is very satisfying to use and the included blade cover is very nice for storage. it can be finicky to clean every inch of the blades but that is to be expected with these tools.

Heavy-duty slicer!
I had some resistance when making the initial cut at the top and had to apply quite a bit of force. The blades were nice and sharp but it didn’t separate every single slice from the core even when you pressed all the way down. I was disappointed that it didn’t cut the apple all the way through. It was a bit tricky to clean with a regular sponge so I use my bottle brush with plastic bristles and that worked wonderfully. Overall, this is a pretty and practical solution to your apple slicing/coring needs!

Good quality
This apple slicer is pretty heavy and the blades are pretty sharp too. It has a cover so it can store it. The only thing I didn't like is that the slices are too big. And I usually buy big apples and the apple kept getting stuck.

Sturdy apple corer
This apple corer is very heavy-duty, and the pretty color coordinates with other Martha pieces. It is sharp and cut evenly but the slices are on the large size - probably too large for younger kids. Unfortunately, it doesn't go in the dishwasher and has to be hand-washed.
