Setup was extremely easy, it’s just a plug-and-play, so I just connected it via USB and it worked immediately without needing extra drivers or software. I later was able to get xlr cables and an audio mixer and it is 10x better. The difference between the sound quality of this mic and the podmic is not a noticable difference to audiences who don’t know the difference. The sound quality is clear and clean, although when the mic is not positioned directly in front of you, the sound is not picked up as well. Voices come through naturally, and it’s a noticeable upgrade from a headset or built-in laptop microphone. For streaming, Discord, or podcasting, it performs very well considering it’s an entry-level condenser mic. The main downside is that it can pick up background noise if your room isn’t treated or if your keyboard and mouse are nearby. This isn’t unusual for condenser microphones, but it’s something to be aware of. A boom arm or pop filter helps improve results quite a bit. Build quality feels solid for the price, though it’s clearly not meant to compete with higher-end studio microphones. I did end up dropping it a few times on accident but I must say that the durability is exellent and dropping it will not effect the sound quality. The mic is of reasonable size and extremely lightweight and paired with the fifine boom arm, the ability to adjust the position is endless.
