Katana Sword, Fully Handmade Real Japanese Sword High Carbon Steel Samurai Sword with Wooden Scabbard Alloy Guard

Delivered quickly, packed seemed well protected although there's a chip in the coating on the sheath and a few minor imperfections on the handle. Still looks great on display though. Haven't really used it for any actually tasks that would indicate the use of a sword. In fact I'm not sure I ever will be in a situation in which a sword will be the best tool to call upon. Yet, if that situation were to arise at least I'll be well prepared. I did however slice a papaya with this sword, probably more difficult a task than using an actual kitchen knife, but also more fun this way. The papaya was delicious. It's possible the sword actually made the papaya taste better but I only had one papaya so I was unable to perform an experiment with a control group. Even if I had more papaya to cut with other swords and knives all papayas are different so the reliability of the study would be poor.I recently moved and I keep the sword in my bedroom, it actually provides some piece of mind at night in the event there were an intruder. I like to imagine that if someone were to break in with thoughts of robbing or even raping my fiancee and me those thoughts would quickly dissipate once they saw me standing naked with my shaft in one hand, while I clutch my sword in the other. I think a sword is the last weapon an intruder would expect to encounter, perhaps not as fatal as a handgun but definitely as intimidating if not more so because seriously who owns a sword? I do, I own a sword.

This is my first katana & I was concerned I would be getting a lesser version of what I saw in the pics but I'm happy to say the least. This is a work of art. It definitely won't be used for much beyond display but that's not because it feels cheap. This sword is solid ! It came fast too. As I mentioned, this is my first sword but I looked it over & I can't find a flaw. The only reason I didnt include a pic of the blade is because it came high oiled & I still need to order a display stand . The only thing you might want to consider is that this sword is a bit flashy with the gold .

I almost got the $40 kill bill replica sword but instead wanted something more real. It came crazy fast and sharp. The plants in my yard got a slashing and I broke some pots on accident but the thing was solid! I got the Blue sword (there was a black sword and a red sword)My friend was over at my house when it got delivered and immediately got on Amazon and bought one too.My next move is some YouTube tutorials so I can be ready for Zee Zombies. I already feel safer with it in the house. Haha

I was never really into the idea of this type of purchase until I thought it would make a nice gift for a friend of mine......I'm slightly ashamed to say that once I saw and felt the sword in person....I just couldn't get rid of it! It's an amazing piece of art, and the quality of design and construction are far beyond anything I'd expect for such a well priced item. Truly impressive.

It isn't really that sharp from the factory. I sharpened it and then cut down about fifty thick sumack. some of it was 3" thick. It cut through everything. You can purchase a better quality sword right off of Amazon for half the money. For $299 through another place that distributes swords you can have custom made swords. There isn't as much value at the moment in these. Purchase a nice sword with certifications and someday soon they will be worth the investment. Shop wisely. I enjoy the swords I have. Damascus steel I find more interesting. I've found this one to be pretty much indestructible. It has a heavy 1060 blade. I have two acid etched katana. One was $130 with certifications. The other was only $110. That was custom made. In Japan they would be worth thousands. I consider them artwork. I love all of my Swords. When I can. This is heavy. It's well made. I like my 1065 carbon steel katana that weighs a little less. I've cut down small trees with this sword!

The Sword arrived about 4 day early really nice. The packaging was like a long foam box that was a pain to open but it was secure no question. It came already oiled and covered in plastic not exactly sharp but not a big deal for me. The color looks way different in person than in the product listing but it's still blue just very dark. My only problem with the sword is the guard is super boring I understand it's part of the design but it's bland in everyway. Still a very nice sword overall

There is a gap between the hilt and the blade and the case had a crack in it when it arrived. Myself and my son are very disappointed and displeased with the item. We had much higher hopes and he was so excited until he opened it. And it's much heavier than anticipated

If you want a sharp sword find someone to sharpen it before you order this one. I haven't been able to find anyone near me that will so I'm stuck with a katana shaped club. I would give it 5 stars for appearance and 0 stars for sharpness so I decided to go in the middle. If you're looking for a good looking sword that your kids can play with this would be a good one for you. If you want a type of sword known for sharpness and want it to be sharp (as I did) find someone to sharpen it before you order or look elsewhere.
