Doc safe file box with lock
This file box is very sturdy and spacious, it can be used for files or to store important items that need to be protected. I love the fact that it locks, however I had to figure out how to use the lock myself as there were no instructions with the box, this is why I gave a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating. Over all the box is great and I will use it for months tocome

Heavier than anticipated
I bought this for a relative that was moving. I wish in retrospect I would have found one with wheels. It holds a ton of files but that also represents a lot of weight. I had to have help moving the box several times during the move.

If it sounds too good to be true…..
I was excited to find this document storage for such a great price. I was skeptical about its claim to be water resistant and fireproof. I tested it before putting real documents in. Sadly my suspicions were correct. This is not waterproof AT ALL. While the water does bead off the surface, it soaks into the other parts, such as the zippers. I coated the bag with water, but didn’t let it sit in a puddle or let it soak for longer than a minute or two. Immediate failure. So I will be returning this and continue my search. If you’re looking for an easy way to tote and organize files and such, this would be great! It does seem fairly sturdy to hold up for a while, and it collapses when not in use. But it will definitely not protect anything from a light rain, let alone fire and flood. Disappointing.

A Fire And Water Resistant Two Compartment Protection Box
The DocSafe Multi-Layer File Box is a lightweight storage case that protects important documents, valuable belongings, and more. It is comprised of two compartments and has a number of features. The exterior lining is a specially formulated silicone-coated polypropylene fabric that is claimed to be fire and water resistant. It flexes like textile, but it definitely feels like there’s some kind of silicone rubber material coated and embedded as well. The interior lining is the typical inner bag lining found in many bags. The side reflectives, front name tag, and tote straps add some aesthetics to an otherwise dark box. When empty, it can be folded up flat and put away. The top half compartment has quite a few mesh pockets and pouches, though there isn’t as much space available to fit a lot in each one. It is good for smaller and loose items that would get lost in the larger all-in-one bottom abyss compartment. The bottom compartment is one large space, and is good for folders, binders, and being the bulk of the box’s space. The TSA lock is okay I guess, being more of a deterrent for me to be able to quickly lock and unlock the box. It works, though I found that when locking it’s much easier to partially press the buttons and place in each of the zipper pull tabs individually rather than trying to finagle pressing the button and attempting to get all 4 pull tabs in all at once. With this being mainly fabric, it does mean it lacks much security, even with the small TSA number lock attached to the box. This isn’t in the same category as some of those chunky, large, and heavy metal safes. A knife could probably cut right through, and being relatively light weight it can be easily picked up and taken without much effort. For the dormant house use, in most cases it is sufficient.Unfortunately I haven’t personally tested the fire claims on the case as I would like to keep using it with its integrity still intact. For water, on the main surface seems waterproof, though the case is not airtight so that definitely makes it water resistant instead. It is decent structurally, but I wouldn’t stack a lot of weight on top of this box as it may deform the walls.Overall, this box is quite nifty (if the claims on its toughness against the elements is legit). I would say it offers a boost in peace of mind while not breaking the bank (too much).

Good for document organization. Iffy for security
___ The Good: ____* This is a decent sized file box. As I've reached the stage in life where I have not merely tax returns and ID cards, but also things like a mortgage, insurance policies, and retirement account statements I need to get more organized.* This is highly portable. Which would be a negative if you are using it as a secure safe. Me, I'll be keeping critical documents in it and storing it with my go bag, so I can grab it if I need to evacuate in a hurry. I'm not talking about the apocalypse, I'm talking about run of the mill disasters such as when my neighbor's roof caught fire last year -- fortunately contained quickly, but I want to be able to have all critical supplies and documents where I can grab them in under a minute for similar situations in the future.___ The Bad: ___* I am highly skeptical of the claimed elemental resistances. There's definitely some water resistance and the fabric doesn't immediately light with a lighter. BUT I've done enough bikepacking to know that zippers are not watertight seals, and even if the material itself is as fireproof as claimed, I'm storing paper documents in mine, so a hot enough blaze would cause those to combust inside the box.* The TSA Locks are not keeping anyone out. They just lock the zippers, and you can pop the ends of those with a decent pocketknife. Also they only have a 3-digit combination, so someone not wanting to leave signs of destructive entry can run through all possible combinations in only like 20 minutes. Still probably better than no locks, and at least contents are unlike to spill if I need to hustle while carrying this
