Five Star Mouse Catcher!
This is great! Have had trouble with mice under the kitchen sink area for months, just catching the odd one from time to time. The first night I put down the Multi-Catch, just baited with ordinary cheese, there were 2 caught by next morning. The next two nights have caught one each night, so this is by far the best method I've ever found, And of course they are unharmed and I've released them with a stern warning not to come back!A great product, very cheap, more sturdily made than I'd imagined, and highly recommended.

Sturdy construction but mice are smarter than trap.
I purchased two of these. I live on a farm. Mice are often attempting to move into the house when the weather turns colder.I decided to try a non lethal method this year to remove them. The trap itself is sturdy and I use the bait made by the same manufacturer, which did nothing to attract them so I added grain.. Bird food.. Crackers with peanut butter.. The things a mouse should love.We know the route the mice like to use and my dog has caught a couple in those locations but after a week of spotting them running by the traps they have caught nothing. We tried blocking the routes so the mice would run directly into the trap entrance when chased by the dog but the mice turn away. We have witnessed more than once a mouse on top of the trap and the traps have mouse droppings on them.Either the trap just isn't suitable or the mice here are particularly smart..Either way, I could not recommend this trap as fit for purpose as the mice are not fooled by it for a second.

Fantastic! Caught 5 mice on day 1 :)
After trying the useless, plastic, tilt 'n' trap type mouse traps which mice were just going in, taking the food from and escaping, I thought I would give this mouse trap a go, even after all the negative reviews. This mouse trap arrived yesterday 06/12/14 and I was due to go out for the day so I set the trap up at 11am, baited with peanut butter and headed off. I left my other half at home to keep an eye on it.Updates from my other half:15:29 - 1 mouse caught - fantastic! That was already 1 more than the previous traps had caught.18:18 - 3 mice caught - Even better! Didn't expect to catch any more than that.21:55 - 4 mice caught - Yippee!23:20 - I arrive home - 5 mice in the trap (see attached picture)After all the updates from him I thought it sounded too good to be true, and that they would surely work out how to escape before I got home, but nope - they hadn't managed. They were quite small mice as well so I was surprised they hadn't managed to squeeze out of the holes in the sides of the trap. Anyway, I decided not to take the chance of them working out how to escape over night (plus the thing absolutely reeked so I wanted to get rid of them and clean it asap), because if they worked out how to escape I don't think they would get caught in it again... unless they're really stupid. So myself and the other half decided to go for a late night stroll for a few miles to release them in the woods. A couple of them were hiding in the tunnels so needed a little encouragement, but they all skittered off and probably provided a nice meal for an owl or something.I'm really impressed with this trap. Judging from the reviews I didn't think we'd catch anything. I originally bought poison to put down but the reason I didn't end up using this is I was worried the mice would consume the poison then my cats would maybe catch the mouse (as I read that when they're dying they come out in the open to do so... my cats would be rubbish at catching them otherwise). I didn't want my cats getting sick because of this. I really don't like the idea of killing things anyway. If they toddle off and provide a hungry predator with a fine meal, that's much better. I would recommend letting them loose as far away from other peoples houses as possible, as it's not very fair to make your problem someone else's. At least if they are let go in a field/woods they'll probably just get gobbled up by owls/kestrels etc.

They can escape !
When i received the product, it looked just the job, within hours of baiting it and putting it down, result !, one resident mouse, however, ten minutes later, after getting ready to take it for a nice ride in the car, went back and the cage was empty!, as others have said.?. I can only presume on looking that it somehow pulled the ramp back down, and strolled out.Its a shame, because the product idea is good, far better then the small tube types, i have now bent the metal inside, to try to make the ramp gap smaller.but the mouse will not now go back in it, I have given the 4 stars because the product was cheap, and maybe with a bit of tweaking, it will work, but it would be good if the makers designed it better, even if it would costs more. So if you do catch anything in it, seal the ends straight away, unless mine is a weightlifter and managed to open and close the lid behind it.

Crap Trap
The mice in my house love this " TRAP" it allows them to keep dry and out of the wind whilst eating the nuts and chocolate inside it. The have started a petition for all the people in the village to get their mice the same item. Perfect marketing idea. Crap Trap, doesn`t work, bad manufacturing.

They ~do~ work
Living in the country with a large, wildlife friendly garden, small furry rodents are a fact of life. They are great when they stay outside and provide food for visiting owls and kestrel. They are less great when they wander indoors ...We will never erradicate the mouse problem here because I won't use poisons but they do help keep the numbers down. I bait with bird food - mixed corn and sunflower seed hearts. Have had as many as four rodents in one trap on one night. As has been said elsewhere, release a ~minimum~ of half a mile from point of capture or they will be back.Sometimes they don't want to leave the trap and run back into the tunnel section, turning open trap upside down and banging it firmly usually shifts them!Do not understand how people say "they are escaping" ... the lid is a very firm fit and even the determined mice here cannot chew through metal. We have previously used the smaller plastic version of this trap and yes, mice do chew their way out of those, hence our move to the apparently indestructible metal ones. Now have many in different parts of the house and a couple in the greenhouse, they are brilliant and I wouldn't be without them.

A**.
