Perfect for the price
Received the new coffee machine today. This machine is a replacement for my previous machine that has blown a gasket. Made two cups of nice espresso so far, good crema with a finely ground coffee, ample 15 bar pressure, no leaks, nice quiet operation. One minor gripe is that the filter basket thingy does not stay in the sump doodad when emptying your used coffee out. Other than this minor issue, an all round good manual espresso machine.Edit after nearly three years of use:Machine still going strong, making around six espressos every day since bought. I see people complaining that the machine leaks, but I think this is likely due to coffee being too fine or too tightly packed. Any compressor or pump system will vent if too much pressure builds up! Anyway, I attached a picture of my coffee this morning to show the lovely crema, and great shot this machine makes.

Badly designed filter holder makes a mess when you use it.
Compact machine that works well but the filter holder and handle design is dreadful - expect coffee grounds all over your kitchen with this product. The filter holder sometimes sticks to the machine when you remove the handle, then it falls and spills used grounds over the machine and kitchen work surface, Or if you do successfully remove it then you can't knock it out in the bin without the filter falling in too. I raised this with Krups customer service in the UK and they were dismissive and unhelpful. If you can cope with the mess and inconvenience it makes a good cup of coffee.

teh only good thing is a thick crema
the only good thing about this machine is that it produces very good coffee crema. However, the steam frother stop functioning all together after the second use, it produces lukewarm coffee and also weak coffee and its cheaply made. It also leaks quite a bit of water in the tray when in use.I got a Smeg instead that is solidly made, has more functions, produces a real taste in an espresso but lacks in thickness of crema but you can make a thick crema out of milk.

Insufficient steam for latte
I agree with other reviews that it produces an excellent crema on an espresso but as I bought it mainly for milk frothing I am disappointed with the limited amount of steam, that it cuts off and won’t produce more than 100ml of milk (not enough for a latte), I usually can’t get it to do a second cup. Even when frothing a small amount the milk is lukewarm. I agree also the filter not fitting snugly in the holder and sloppy grounds is a pain. The filter falls out wetly if you tip it upside down. Don’t bother knocking it out, you’ll have wet coffee grounds everywhere. I dish the worst out with a teaspoon and rinse the rest. Overall it looks like insufficient steam pressure and volume. Krups?
