Great little grater/zester for the price.
Great little grater/zester. We have long had the old school block-style grater that is hard to use and a pain to clean. We finally decided to grab a few of these in a few different sizes and man, I don’t know why we were using that old thing from the 1950s for so long. These feel safer and do a better job. The handle has good grip and feels pretty sturdy for a cheap plastic utensil. I definitely feel like I’m more in control. And while I don’t know how long the blades will stay sharp, they’re certainly sharp right now. Good buy.(For the record, I cut and pasted this review from the other one I wrote because they are the exact same product just in a different gauge of grate.)

Works very well
This grater works well. I think the best things about this grater is the fact that it has a protective cover when not in use and the cover helps to keep the shaving together. I enjoy using this grater, comfortable and easy to use.

Very good, but holes should be a little smaller
I wish I could give 4.5. It's very good in most respects: it's dishwasher safe, the holes are nice and sharp, and it's generously sized. But in my opinion, its ideal uses are to grate things that need to be grated quite small: citrus peels, garlic, nutmeg, etc. The holes are just a bit too big for it to have its distinctive value. So really only one flaw, but significant enough that I needed to deduct a star. If you weren't in the market for something that should grate things quite small, this may not be a problem for you.

Handy and compact
This is my first grater so I don't have much experience with graters. From a first timer point of view, I think it's quite easy to use. I got it mainly to grate ginger when cooking certain things. I used to just ignore having a grater and just try to finely chop ginger. I mean it was OK and didn't ruin what I was cooking. With this grater, I spent less time on the ginger part. The results in the finished meal was better. The item was simple to handle and use. The plastic cover that came with, I thought it was a very thoughtful thing to have. Sure, it does catch what you're grating if you want to use it like that. I personally like the fact that I can use it to scrape food off the grater and, when stored, it protects the blades and your hands from having accidents. The hoop on the handle, I use it to hang dry after washing. Then I store the grater in the kitchen drawer. I'm happy with this product.

Sturdy and versatile grater/zester
I’m very pleased with the quality of this hand held grater. It is a nice size (12” end to end) with a handle that is easy to grip because of its rubberized backing. The stainless steel cutting surface is sharp! Yes, I was lazy and did not put on my cutting gloves before trying it out with a lemon and I did “zest” my knuckle. Ouch! Of course, that sharpness makes this is an effective kitchen tool. I zested a lemon and I grated a block of cheddar cheese and it worked great on both. I was especially pleased with how the cheese came out. This is considered a “coarse” grater so I expected long strips of cheese and instead got delightful, fluffy curls that are going to melt beautifully on top of my soup. I washed this in the dishwasher on the top shelf with no issues. I don’t hang up my kitchen tools but for someone who does, there is a convenient hole for a hook. The bright yellow color will make this easy to spot in a drawer. Since the grating surface is stainless steel, I expect this tool to last a good while.

Underwhelming
This isn't nearly sharp enough. It grates cheese, but zesting is damn near impossible. And it already seems dulled after just one use. This is also kinda huge, I thought it would be a bit longer than the hand, but that's my mistake.

Urbanstrive Grater With Handle
This is a handheld grater with a coarse shred. The blade is stainless steel and the handle is a cheerful yellow. There is a hole in the handle end so you can choose to hang it.At the business end there is a rubber stopper so it won't scratch your counter. There is a plastic cover over the blade and an edge at the bottom so there is no chance of anything else in your utensil crock or drawer getting scratched, not your hand either. The blade is quite sharp and does a marvelous job of shredding. As mentioned earlier, this is a coarse shredder and I use it to shred hard cheese (parmesan) garlic, chocolate, and small quantities of potato or onion. It can be washed in the dishwasher, of course. This is a tool that all kitchens should have, I can't imagine not having one. This coarse grater is well-designed, well made, great value for money, and is highly recommended!

Exactly as pictured
I really enjoy the size of the grater, and the cover is a bonus since we have been known to scrape a finger searching for the grater. It went through the dishwasher with no problems, it’s a keeper.
