So far as a tummy sleeper I'm absolutely thrilled.
Haven't seen any specific tummy sleeper reviews. First night -- Wow did I cough and spit up a few times when I woke up. No trouble falling asleep. No wonder I've suffered this nasal drip and sore throat with on and off ear ache for months maybe 1/2 year or longer (definitely feels like forever). I hope this cures it. I've tried so many nasal sprays, warm mists, gargles, throat sprays, elderberry syrup w/honey, throat teas with licorice. Everything seems to help a little but this chronic sore throat ear thing has been driving me crazy with no resolution despite the various methods I've been trying. I still don't feel as well so time will tell if this mattress elevator is a solution for me. Yes I slid down little, but I know there's some getting used to it. I also have a head and base board that I could either kick or pull myself upward. Though wondering if there's just a 1" or 2" wedge for the base. I'm thinking of just folding an old thick blanket tiered just at the bottom. I doubt it will do anything. I'm glad I went for the 7" for that extra drainage though if my condition subsides somewhat, I wonder if the 5" or even 4" wedge be a better longer term solution. Can't say I'm better yet, but after only one night sleep and all that mucus, wowee did I need some draining and this mattress did it. Again, speaking as a tummy sleeper when my feet sometimes get a burning feeling during the day, I usually lay on stomach with my knees bent and feet crossed in the air for relief. I wonder if this angled sleeping position might put too much pressure on the feet. I'm not saying it does, but because I sometimes do get that burning sensation in my feet during the day when I'm upright, I may try raising my feet with a wedge in bed that I already have. It's a natural position if you're already on your tummy. It might even stop me from sliding by stopping me at the knees. After having full mouth tooth extractions it was essential for me to sleep upright, what a challenge that was. I bought that whole system -- here's the link (Lunix 6pcs Orthopedic Bed Wedge Pillow Set, Post Surgery Memory Foam for Back, Neck, and Leg Pain Relief, Adjustable Sitting Pillow for Sleeping, Acid Reflux and GERD, Hot Cold Pack, White ). I managed somehow with a twin bed next to my recliner to use bits of the wedges here and there and one for back of the chair because anything angled backwards makes me choke especially with this nasal drip. I guess all my difficulties relate to my being a tummy sleeper and it's impossible to break. My whole life, I'm just not designed to recline backwards only forward because of that persistent sense of choking. You can imagine what its been like in dental chairs. I was too afraid to go under during full mouth extractions precisely because I knew I would choke to death if I was knocked out. hahaha, but NOT funny. Dentist said I was moderately ok without gas because many times during the surgery I could not help but clear my throat with a nose snort that actually splattered blood out my mouth which was upsetting the surgeon a bit. I was a trooper for sure, and thanked him and nurse profusely afterwards for their patience with me. Boy am I glad that's over, it's been 2 months today and I'm still recovering from that surgery. All that to say that all those wedges from that system I thought I'd never need again might help me with this bed. I put the 2 for the knees side by side at the base, fits the full-size bed perfect and for me stopping sliding at the knees with feet raised comforably on my tummy. I tried it right now quickly, felt perfect. I will try that tonight when sleeping or when I take a nap this afternoon. Those wedges have that anti-slip on one side so it may be perfect and easily removed solution. I still have so many health-related questions like does angled sleeping help or hurt blood flow or the lymphatic. That's why I think I'm going to hang onto that heavy boxspring in case i need to lay flat again at some point or have a guest that needs too. Might be simpler to get a much thinner, lightweight boxspring. I don't want metal framing or anything metal with all this 5G and God knows what going thru the air and frequencies. My boxspring is just way to heavy for me to move alone although I love that's its super sturdy and made of quality wood with slats built in. But for now I can't see myself going back to flat with my current condition. I was thrilled to get this full length wedge10 days earlier than expected. Thank you so much. I received it 1:30pm and the next night at 7pm I started moving the mattress, removed the box spring completely dusted and vacuumed everything around the bed. It's amazing how much dust gets in those little areas. I wasn't feeling great, but so excited about this helping my nasal drip. So I took breaks not to hurt myself with all that lifting, moving and bending and vacuuming, sheet changing, etc. So I'd say by midnight I was finally laying down. Just wondering if I should throw away that boxspring. It was too high especially with a 3" topper. But now when I sit up, it was easier to get up being a little lower in the middle. I did notice a little vertigo. I have felt that vertigo sensation before especially with an ear infection or something or jumping up too quickly. But I haven't felt that in a while. Wonder if it was because of angled sleeping. I felt it again ever so slightly getting up after testing those wedges at the base. Time will tell if that's my new normal when getting up or if it will clear when I'm drained properly over say the next 2 weeks. It's not a problem I can't live with and it did go away very fast so no dizziness after getting up at all. Before getting this, I was thinking of a lift just for the back of bed, but angles and such could hurt the integrity of the frame and are quite expensive too. They're really not made for angling a bed, just raising a piece of furniture evenly. This wedge definitely solved that problem. The bed frame is perfectly intact flat on the floor as it should be. And these 2 wedges fit perfectly inside my full size wooden frame bed with slats already built in. That's why I'm thinking of tossing that old super heavy wooden boxspring. Too much to think about. It would probably be a good support for a featherbed or something on the floor. Honestly, I just want to get rid of it, but I'll keep it for now in case I need to lay flat. To my fellow tummy sleepers, I took the time to write this review for you in case some of the things I've mentioned might help you. For the most part tummy sleepers are ignored but I think about the 7-10% of people who are never write complete reviews. For any tummy sleepers with shoulder problems, I solved that with mypillow medium or soft to punch for head to fit perfect and 2 travel pillows - 1 under each armpit to just lift the shoulder enough to keep good alignment. That configuration completely resolved my stiff shoulder (to the point I couldn't raise my arm with full movement above my head). Just do it and avoid shoulder problems altogether when you reach your 60s if your a tummy sleeper and get in weird positions with your arms while your sleeping. If you somewhat cradle those 2 travel pillows under your arms it will keep your shoulders aligned properly and comfortably while you move freely whether your head is facing to the right or to the left. I shift from right to left often during the night. Happy tummy sleeping. Will update after a few weeks if anything has changed. So for right now, I'm delighted with this full length wedge as a tummy sleeper. If I didn't have these nasal and ear and throat issues, I probably would have tried the 5" vs. 7". The great advantage is you can still sleep on your tummy and get the benefit of this full size wedge. It's no different than sleeping flat except for the slight gradual angle of course which changes nothing in the way you'd normally sleep.

Comfy, easy to set up
The mattress elevator for a full bed was easy to unpack, easy to put the cover on, and easy to place under my mattress. The foam smell was minor, and dissipated after 24 hours; the time it takes for the foam to expand fully. The height is perfect for preventing gastric reflux, I’m getting a great night’s sleep.

Great! Only product that works with Purple Brand Hybrid #3 Mattresses
This is the ONLY product strong enough to work UNDER the weight of a PURPLE HYBRID #3 Mattress without condensing down flat! As Purple owners know, putting anything on TOP of the mattress defeats the purpose of owning the pricy Purple Brand mattress. Purple Hybrid Mattresses are probably the heaviest mattress on the market, yet the AVANA 7" dense foam remains firm, despite the mattress weight, allowing incline to prevent reflux without being smashed flat. (I'm confident the Avana 5" version would work under the much lighter, thinner "Original Purple" mattress as well.) This product will also work great on TOP of any other type of mattress. *Note: The problem with platform bed frames is that if just the head of the platform is raised (i.e.blocks under the feet of the head of the bed etc) then the supports under the middle of the bed no longer touch the floor. Using the Avava bed ramp under the mattress solves this problem! It allows only the mattress to be on a incline, instead of the bed frame, which makes moving the bed for for cleaning etc MUCH easier...This product arrived earlier than expected, was well packaged and no odor. Follow instructions and allow to expand fully before using...After reading reviews, I ordered the QUEEN with the pre-covered pieces (comes as TWO separate queen length pieces, each in a zippered cover, that go side by side, and are EASIER to lift and place than a one large piece). The covers are WELL WORTH the extra money. The covers allowed for easier manipulation when needed to slide the heavy mattress on top of it. Previous reviews has indicated difficulty trying to put covers on yourself so I opted for the pre-covered ones. Very happy with my purchase.

Works best between mattress and box Spring. BUY WITH COVER
First and foremost, I cannot imagine trying to put a cover on this product. Buy it with cover. Pros: comfort; elevation: lack of odor; generally stays in place; two parts (king size) work together fine. It is worth the money because it relieved GERD symptoms and improved my life. Cons: Unless it's under the mattress there is some slippage; it takes a few nights to become accustomed to the height. You may have to change pillows. You can't really use it on only one side of the bed. If you have a Queen or King you can't get a twin size and put it on one side only. It would ruin your mattress. I am petite so getting into this high bed is a challenge because I have a thick mattress and just added 7 inches to height. It's worth the expense.
