Impressive bit of kitchen equipment to leave around place if you're entertaining which we do once a year. It cooks slowly which means it fulfills it's design criteria although the thermostat control, albeit very rustic in appearance, operates a bit 'hit & miss' and so driving the thing is all 'seat of the pants' in reality. In a world that's always in a hurry I suppose a slow-cooker is the equivalent of a rocking chair and this is a nice one....slow-cooker that is, not a rocking chair. On a final note I find giving things a 'star-rating' somewhat provocative.
