Good for adult book coloring!!!
I have found adult coloring books as a good way to relax. I do own the expensive coloring pencils such as prisma color, derwent, and progresso; which I use for my "professional" art drawings. I wanted to find coloring pencils just for my coloring books that weren't as expensive and that have a lot of variety. (I did not wanted to use my "nice" pencils on something that I do on the daily basis for fun and having to buy another set within a couple of weeks, wanted to save a bit of money)I did a lot of research, focusing on reviews and variety. I looked through many different sets and found some of 170, even 200 but decided for these and was not at all disappointing. One thing that did worry me was that they where oil based, which I had never really used before. From what I read they are pretty much the same just do not luster as much or leave too much residue. The set came in well packed, it has a sheet to for me to color and label. Which I think it is handy. When I first start coloring I did notice that the consistency is not as smooth as wax pencils (the ones I own). Yet, they are highly pigmented, I do not have to press too hard to get a dark color. I do not like to color light when just coloring, and I loved how well it covered the whole coloring area. There where no signs of streaks and no need to pass over with a q-tip to make it even. Which is what I mainly wanted!!! From the seller, it did said that they are somewhat fragile (because they are oil based) but they are actually not, they are pretty sturdy. Form the whole set there was one that had a broken tip (but it happens, no big deal). I sharpened the pencil and did not have to force it to hard, they sharpened really easily and smooth. Granted, I do not sharpen the pencils till I have a super thin tip, but I had no problems using the sharpened pencil.Over all I love the color pencils! They are perfect to use daily in my coloring books, I am even considering buying them for my 4 year old nice, who loves to color. For the purpose that I wanted this coloring pencils they are perfect! I truly love them. I will try them as to do some kind of drawing (not coloring books) and see how it works for that. Nevertheless I would definitely recommend them for some adult book coloring!

FIFTEEN CENTS PER PENCIL!? WHOA BABY!
I'm going to address the BAD first, and then go on to say why I think these are STILL worthy of 5 stars even with the flaws.. (hint..part of the title)1. About 10 pencils are bowed slightly, however they sharpen fine2. Barrel colors is all over the map. You'll need to sort these by a scratch test, and you WILL NEED A COLOR CHART.3. About 6 pencils have a slight split in the "manufacturer" sharpened point. I was able to sharpen them out.4. Packaging is a nightmare. The trays pop pencils out, the carryall is flimsy, You're going to need a better case.5. A *few* lighter pencils are very dry and scratchy. Most are a very nicely pigmented medium/soft texture.6. VERY skimpy on the light blue shades, and solid orange shades.Okay. With that out of the way, let me tell you why these are still worth 5 stars, in my opinion.THE COLOR SELECTION IS THROUGH THE ROOF! With the exception of the above mentioned, the yellows, browns, greens, purples, pinks, reds - are insane! There are at least 3 pencils that can be used as a true red shade. Those of you that color lots of nature, scenery, caricature, and leafy pages are going to be in HEAVEN!FIFTEEN CENTS A PENCIL PEOPLE. I mean come on. You aren't going to get perfection when you are paying 15-20 cents a pencil. I wouldn't even expect that. HOWEVER. The quality of the COLOR, the smooth pigmented texture of the cores..for the most part far exceeds anything I have seen from Crayola, Arteza, and Feela, and that's actually pretty good for bargain pencils. No, you're not getting Prisma's or Poly's here. Yes, you are going to have a few flaws, maybe a few that will need a couple extra trips to the sharpener. But, what you have left after that, is still a HUGE AMOUNT of really nice QUALITY pencils!! If you can look past the flaws, and still recognise what a huge value these are, then BUY THEM! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!P.S. To all the reviewers who complain about sharpening, and anyone considering these or other mid range/bargain pencils: Please buy an electric or battery operated sharpener. Bargain pencils WON'T BREAK if you use a quality motorized sharpener.

Perfect
I love these pencils. Their is a vibrant variation of colors, the packaging is sturdy and really useful, the pencils are great quality. I occasionally wet and heat my pencils for different effects and these have held up fine for both. The quality truly comes out.

Excellent value-priced coloured pencil set
I am pleasantly surprised by this coloured pencil set. I have not had any issues with broken cores, yet the cores are soft enough for my preference when it comes to application of colour. The wood of the pencil shaft sometimes splits when sharpened (I was using a dollar store sharpener at first), but this can be avoided by making sure you are using a good quality sharpening blade.I bought this set to expand my currently limited set of colours. I am very happy with the quality of the neons and metallics in this set, let alone the rest. I especially love the DIY colour sheet they give you with the set - I had a ton of fun testing each colour by filling in the list. The case is durable enough for at home, but if you plan on taking these to school, work, or on travels, I would recommend a sturdier case.

Pencil
These are super good pencils if you want to try something different. Tho they arnt artist quality you can get them to blemd and layer just like them.they have a harder wax and the woid casing is really strong wood which is hard on your sharpener. I have had a few random penscils that the lead was weak or cracked and sharpening them was impossible. But my biggest complaint about these is that i have searcged everywhere and could not find a color chart to match the numbers on the crayons:( very fusterating thst i can give the color the correct color names! Please please get on it! Update! So the more i use these more i love then however when i sharpened a few the casing cracked! And now most of the leads are breaking im so dissappointed i keep good care of my pencils to
